TAZEWELL, TENNESSEE (September 1, 2019)– The Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com would co-sanction the 11th Annual Buddy Rogers Memorial on Sunday evening at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN and Dakotah Knuckles of Ewing, VA would lead all forty-four laps of the race and take the $5,044 payday. The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series would also be in action at the Buddy Rogers Memorial event and Ricky Arms of Moss, TN would take the win in Modified portion of the event for the second consecutive season and claim the $1,000 payday.

The victory for Knuckles would be his first career Fall Nationals and first career Iron-Man Series victory and would come aboard the Timberline Barns, Hickory Star Resort and Marina, Hill’s Truck Repair, Davis Brothers Roofing, Liberty Sport and Pawn, Marcum Oil Company, Hoverton Roofing sponsored #21K Rocket Chassis, Cornett Race Engines powered entry.

The win by Moss would be his fifth career and second of the season with the Iron-Man Modified tour and would come in the Richard Harlow owned Neal’s Core Supply, Diamond Collison, Paintless Dent Repair, Barren River Pest Control, Young’s Barber Shop, Fire Pit Spirits sponsored #r4 Bandit Race Cars, B&B Performance Race Engines entry.

Dakotah Knuckles would take the race lead at the start of the 11th Annual Buddy Rogers Memorial feature event, with Jordan Horton, Jason Trammell, Robby Moses, and David Crabtree in tow. Horton would immediately look for the lead take it momentarily on lap two, but the caution flag would wave for a spin by Lynn Leach and nullify Horton’s pass. The restart would see Knuckles maintain the lead, with Trammell taking second from Horton, while David Crabtree would take fourth on lap three. Knuckles would have to start working slower race traffic on lap thirteen and Trammell would start to close in on Knuckles for the lead. Eighth place starting and defending race winner David Payne would make his way into the top five and take fourth from Horton on lap nineteen and bring 12th place starting Donald McIntosh along into fifth. The front pair would be in heavy traffic at this point and Knuckles and Trammell would be side-by-side at the line to complete lap twenty and Trammell would nose out in front on lap twenty-one, but a caution for a shredded right-rear tire on Jordan Horton’s mount would draw the caution on and nullify Trammell’s pass for the lead, while Horton would go to the work area and get a fresh right-rear tire while the rubber debris was cleaned up off the track. Knuckles would again hold the lead on the restart, while Payne would take second from Trammell. Knuckles would maintain a steady lead over Payne until the final caution of the race flew on lap thirty-nine for a spin by Joey Standridge in turn two to set up a quick sprint to the finish. Knuckles would keep the race lead on the restart and keep Payne at bay over the final few circuits to score the victory, with Payne taking runner-up honors, while Trammell would settle for third. McIntosh’s charge from 12th would see him finish fourth, while Crabtree would round out the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be Moses, Greg Estes, Horton, Jeff Neubert, and Joseph Faulkner.

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series feature event would see Ricky Arms be dominant throughout the event with a lap four caution for a spin by Tyler James slowing the efforts of Arms. The race would go green the rest of the way and Arms would see the checkered flag first, with current series points leader Clayton Miller finishing second. Wayne James would complete the podium finishers with a third place effort, while Jesse Rupe and first-time Tazewell visitor Zac Harris completing the top five. The rest of the finishing order would be Billy Palmer, Amos Bunch, Tyler James, Jeff Akard, and Rick Standridge.
