Hagar Heading to ASCS Doubleheader in Mississippi This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions - MARION, Ark. (April 24, 2019) - Derek Hagar will venture to Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss., this Friday and Saturday to race in an event that is co-sanctioned with the ASCS Mid-South Region and ASCS Gulf South Region.

"With the two regions coming together this weekend there should be a good number of cars," he said. "It'll definitely be a good show."

Hagar usually runs well at Jackson Motor Speedway so he's hoping this two-day show will showcase some strong results.

"I'd really like to pull off a couple of wins this weekend," he said. "It's been a bit of a slow start for us this season. The weather looks like it's going to be in our favor this weekend and I'm looking forward to getting back into the car."

Following this weekend the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will invade Hagar's home track of Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., on May 3.

"We're looking to run the Outlaws race when they're in town so hopefully we can build some momentum this weekend and carry it over into next week," Hagar said. "No matter what, I'm just excited to get some more seat time and see what we can do."

White Garners Two Top 10s to Continue Momentum as Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Season Nears

Inside Line Promotions - POCOLA, Okla. (April 24, 2019) - Harli White is off to a hot start this season, racking up her first feature victory and four top 10s in five races prior to the start of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour season.

The series, which had its scheduled season opener rained out last month, is slated to get underway this Thursday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., and Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo.

"It's always a boost whenever you get a win under your belt, especially early in the season," White said. "We have the biggest confidence booster in a win. We have to keep our momentum going and continue earning top fives and top 10s as we head into tougher competition."

White posted a pair of top 10s with the ASCS Sooner Region last weekend. The action began on Friday at Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kan., where she advanced from sixth to fourth place in a heat race to rank 12 th in overall points. That lined her up on the outside of the sixth row for the A Main.

"The car was faster than I think I was," she said. "It took me a bit to get my bearings. We caught a lot of breaks because there were some wrecks. Once we get rolling we were one of the fastest cars toward the end of the race. As far as earlier on we need to get better and pass more cars. It'll be harder to do that once we run with the ASCS National Tour because everyone is tough."

White rallied to score a fifth-place finish, which marked her second top five of the season.

The weekend concluded on Saturday at Tri-State Speedway, where White placed second in a heat race and seventh in the sprint car main event.

"I thought I could run into the first corner and stay about the middle because the bottom was preferred," she said. "That wasn't the case. I fell back to 11th or so and drove back up to seventh. The last five laps of the race we were really rolling, but by that time you aren't able to make up as much ground. The bottom went away and I found the high line in turns three and four. In hindsight I probably should have been searching for that a few laps sooner."

The seventh-place run was her fourth top 10 of the season, which is the most she's had entering the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour's season opener.

White will have merchandise available for sale at the RacinBoys apparel trailer at all Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour events. She also has some merchandise at her race trailer.
