411 Motor Speedway Set for Ninth Annual Hangover on Saturday December 29

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY - December 1, 2018 – The Ninth Annual Hangover is set to roll at the facility known as Tennessee’s Action Track, 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on Saturday December 29 and will be highlighted by the Super Late Models racing for $4,000 to win and Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,200 to win. Both divisions will be run under the sanction of CT Promotions out of Somerset, KY.
    
The Ninth Annual Hangover event will take place on Saturday December 29 and will see Super Late Models in competition in a full program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heat races, and the 40 lap, $4,000 to win/$450 to start Ninth Annual Hangover A-Main event. The Open Wheel Modifieds will also be in action in a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heat races, and the 25 lap, $1,200 to win/$125 to start A-Main event. Also in competition at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday December 29 as part of the Ninth Annual Hangover ever will be the track’s Crate Late Models racing for $1,500 to win, Sportsman Late Models racing for $800 to win, Modified Street racing for $700 to win, and Classic Cars racing for $500 to win.  The Crate Late Model, Sportsman Late Model, Modified Street, and Classic Car divisions will race under 411 Motor Speedway rules and those division rules can be found at www.411motorspeedway.net and by contacting tech director Joe Byrd at (865) 776-1798. Also, window nets, driver gloves, and RaceCeivers are mandatory at all times in all divisions (no exceptions).  

The Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified portion of the event will be sanctioned by CT Promotions, with the Super Late Models following the rules of the Schaeffer Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series and Open Wheel Modifieds running under the rules of the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series. The tire rule for Super Late Models will be as follows: Hoosier 1350, 1600, LM 40 and/or American Racer 48, 56 (these are the only tires allowed on all four corners of the race cars), while random tire samples may also be taken. Also, for the Hangover, the droop rule will NOT be effect for Super Late Models. The Open Wheel Modifieds tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier M30 or M60 and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard. The Hoosier M60 and American Racer Extra Hard is an option on the right rear of the cars and all tires can be siped, but no grooving of any tire is allowed, while random tire samples may also be taken.   

In addition, thanks to 411 Motor Speedway track promoters Mitch and Tanya McCarter, there will be NO entry fees for Super Late Models and Open Wheel Modifieds that compete at the Ninth Annual Hangover event. There will also be NO entry fees for the Crate Late Model, Sportsman Late Model, Modified Street, and Classic Car divisions as well. Transponders will be used for timing/scoring purposes and a rental fee will apply for these. 

Activities for the Ninth Annual Hangover at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday December 29 will see the general admission area and pit area open at 9:00 a.m. The drivers meeting will take place at Noon, with practice laps, time trials, and green flag racing set to follow the drivers meeting. All times are Eastern Daylight Time. Tickets prices for the Ninth Annual Hangover at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday December 29 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free. A pit pass will be $35, with children ages 12 and under $15 with a signed release. An open practice will be held on Friday evening December 28, 2018.

Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, GA made himself the only three-time winner of the Hangover, as he is the defending champion of the event, with McIntosh scoring the victory ahead of Cory Hedgecock (Loudon, TN), Casey Roberts (Toccoa, GA), Tyler Bare (Rockbridge Baths, VA), and Will Roland (Jasper, GA). Lucas Lee of Paris, TN is the defending champion of the Open Wheel Modified portion of the Hangover, as Lee would claim the victory over Christian Thomas (Wake Forest, NC), Ervin Vance (Beaver, KY), Chase King (Seymour, TN), and Amos Bunch (Wartburg, TN).
