Nick Hoffman Banks Richest Career Victory with WoO at MTS
Four-Race Illinois Speedweek Next on the Calendar

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (05/06/24) – Nick Hoffman claimed the richest payday of his young career over the weekend with Friday's World of Outlaw (WoO) Case Late Model Series victory at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) aboard his Tye Twarog Racing / NOS Energy Drink No. 9 C&W Trucking / Longhorn Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

The Mooresville, N.C., native led the final 45 laps to claim the $25,000 top prize and his third WoO win of the season.

“This is my type of racetrack here, this momentum, slick and slow,” Hoffman said. “Those first couple laps were obviously ‘get it on,’ so (I) knew for me it was pretty important to get the lead there .. cause I knew (Brandon) Sheppy and Bobby (Pierce) were gonna be coming pretty hard, especially when it was fast like that.”

With Mother Nature forcing series' officials to condense the three-day event to a doubleheader weekend, Nick Hoffman returned with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series to Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) on Friday for the Dairyland Showdown.

In a field of 33 cars, Hoffman topped his 16-car group in time trials before picking up a flag-to-flag victory in his heat race. Starting on the front row of the opener, Hoffman overtook Brian Shirley on the sixth circuit and paced the remainder of 50-lapper to capture his third win of the season and the $25,000 top prize.

He earned the richest payday of his career ahead of Bobby Pierce, Brandon Sheppard, Ryan Gustin, and Chris Madden.

Back for another $25,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday, Nick raced into the redraw with a runner-up showing in his heat race. Pulling the five for the 50-lap finale, Hoffman climbed three positions to register a runner-up finish, which came behind Ryan Gustin.

“I knew I wasn’t gonna pass Bobby and Ryan on the cushion,” Hoffman said. “I made a little bit of speed in the middle of the track when I needed to get back to fourth at that point. Once the top began to slow down and getting right against the wall, that bottom-to-middle came back into play. That’s how I won last night and that’s what we were set for tonight. The racetrack had a little more grip with the rain we had, and the (track crew) did a fantastic job to give us a track where we could race all around.”

“When they started sliding each other, it got me back to them. I was gonna settle for third, but Bobby hit the fence on the last lap. I tried biding my time, stayed in fifth for a while battling with the guys and it got the tires hot, but I had enough left towards the end and if we got a caution with a few laps to go, we could’ve won again. To win once and run second the next like Farmer City is badass.”

On the heels of a stellar weekend, Nick jumped into second in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.

Garrett Alberson and Roberts Motorsports Double Down in Victory Lane
Carry Momentum into Third Annual Illinois Speedweek

DUBUQUE, Iowa (05/06/24) – Off-season hard work paired with early-season speed led to Garrett Alberson racing to back-to-back wins over the weekend in Illinois with his Bill’s Sport Shop / Mesilla Valley Transportation / Roberts Motorsports No. 58 Lucas Oil Products / Roemer Machine & Welding / Longhorn Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Alberson started his three-race swing with a win on Friday night at Farmer City Raceway and then raced to the Saturday night win at Fairbury Speedway. He ended his run with a fourth-place finish on Sunday night at Adams County Speedway in Lucas Oil MLRA competition.

“What an absolute weekend for our team. Our car owners, sponsors, team members, family members, and fans deserve these wins. We’ve all been working so hard, and it’s just great to see it all come together,” Alberson said. “The Fairbury (Speedway) win was especially satisfying because we’ve been so close to Victory Lane there before only to come up short. Again a huge ‘thank you’ goes out to everyone who supports us, and hopefully this momentum will carry over to the Illinois Speedweek events.”

With rain washing out the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series weekend in Kentucky, Garrett Alberson and the Roberts Motorsports team headed to Illinois on Friday afternoon to compete in the weekly Super Late Model division at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway.

Earning the pole position after recording the fastest lap in qualifying, Alberson led flag-to-flag in the 25-lap feature to pick up the victory. Alberson pocketed $1,500 for his efforts while McKay Wenger and Donny Walden joined him on the podium.

Making the short trip to Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday for opening night, Garrett started sixth in the 30-lap feature and quickly moved into the Top-3. Wrestling the lead away from Jason Feger just passed halfway, Alberson led the final 15 laps to secure the $2,500 payday. Picking up his second victory of the weekend, Alberson was joined by Myles Moos and Jason Feger on the podium.

Closing out the weekend with MLRA at Adams County Speedway (Quincy, Ill.) on Sunday afternoon, Alberson missed the setup in his heat race which forced him to start towards the back in 16th for the $5,000-to-win feature. Slowly making his way through the field, Garrett charged forward 12 positions to finish inside the Top-5 in fourth.

Tyler Erb Wires Lucas Oil MLRA Visit to Adams County
Illinois Speedweek Next on the Schedule

ST. MARYS, Ohio (05/06/24) – Tyler Erb cruised to his second win of the season over the weekend with Sunday's Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) triumph at Adams County (Ill.) Speedway aboard his Bulk Material Lift / Anthony’s Pizza No. 1 Best Performance Motorsports / Sani-Weld Inc. / Base Racing Fuel / First Class Septic / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

The Texas driver earned $5,000 for his flag-to-flag victory in the Cinco de Mayo 40.
“It was a fun race .. this track is really cool," Erb said. "I like coming here, especially when it starts out wet how it was. Hot laps was sloppy and normally that tends to make a good race. It was kinda bottom-dominant, but the cushion down (in turns three and four) if you ran it just right, you could make speed ... it was just sketchy as all get out."

Friday night found Tyler Erb in action at one of his favorite tracks with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series-sanctioned Dairyland Showdown at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.).

With the originally scheduled three-day event condensed to a doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, Erb raced into the opener with a third-place finish in his heat. Chasing the $25,000 top prize, Tyler muscled forward one spot in the 50-lap affair to finish 10th.

For another $25,000-to-win program on Saturday, Tyler backed up the fourth-fastest qualifying lap in his group with a heat race triumph. With the redraw placing him on the front row for the finale, Erb steered to a fifth-place finish when the checkers flew.

The weekend concluded for Erb on Sunday with a stop at Adams County Speedway (Quincy, Ill.) for the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) sanctioned contest. Pulling off a clean sweep, Tyler followed up the overall fast time honors with a flag-to-flag victory in his heat and the feature. He recorded the $5,000 payday ahead of Earl Pearson Jr., Gordy Gundaker, Garrett Alberson, and Chad Simpson.

Planned off weekend before HTF action at Whynot

FORT PAYNE, Ala. The victory wasn’t easy for the Fort Payne, Ala., native as he regained the lead from Daulton Willson after a hectic start to the 40-lap feature and drove away to his second win of the season.

“I hate that for Daulton (Wilson), ya know, he got by me there and I feel like we was as good as him, it was track position, I kinda got beat,” Seawright said. “My crew was down there telling me what to do, but I just wasn’t doing it hard enough. I finally got ‘er going there at the end. I was just giving it all I had every lap and it worked out.”

With the series making its first visit to the Carolinas, Sam Seawright was one of 37 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Late Models at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Friday afternoon.

Topping the charts in his qualifying group, Seawright dominated his heat race before pulling the No. 2 starting position in the redraw. Looking for his first win with the tour, Sam led the first 14 laps before giving up the lead to Daulton Wilson. Inheriting the lead back on lap 28 after Wilson lost a motor, Seawright led the final 22 laps to secure the $10,000 triumph. Brandon Overton and Wil Herrington joined Seawright on the podium.

Saturday's $20,000-to-win Buddy Crook Memorial at Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway was cancelled due to overnight rain showers.

Seawright is currently fourth in the HTFSDS point standings.

Full results from the event can be found at www.HTFSeries.com.

Seawright plans to take this weekend off before returning to Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series competition at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) for a doubleheader.
