Nick Hoffman Victorious Twice in Weekend Competition
Claims Over $4,000 in Weekend Winnings as Win Tally Increases to Nine

Mooresville, North Carolina (05/17/21) –Nick Hoffman continued his white-hot streak last week in his Elite Chassis No. 2 Wehrs Machine / Fox Shocks Modified. During his Hoosier State invasion, Hoffman visited Victory Lane on Wednesday at Brownstown Speedway before winning again on Friday at Plymouth Speedway in the Roddy Harris Memorial.

“We had a great time in Indiana last week against some good fields. Wednesday and Friday night went about as good as we could’ve hoped. On Saturday, we decided to scratch from the program after hot laps to save our equipment,” Hoffman shared. “As always, a very special thank you goes to all of our great supporters. We’re enjoying this early season success because of everything they do for our team.”

Nick Hoffman kicked off a race week in the “Hoosier State” on Wednesday night with a $1,000-to-win DIRTcar Modified program at Brownstown Speedway. With 23 entries on hand, Nick won his heat race to earn the second-starting spot for the feature alongside Jordan Wever.

In the 20-lap main event Hoffman wired the field to pick up his eighth victory of the season. Tyler Nicely, Jordan Wever, Kyle Hammer, and Jacoby Hines completed the Top 5.

After being idle on Thursday night, Nick Hoffman Motorsports returned to action on Friday night at Bloomington Speedway (Bloomington, Ind.) in the $3,009-to-win, Roddy Harris Memorial. A talented field of 38 entries went into battle at the bullring, and Nick started his night by setting fast time in his qualifying group. He next won his heat race from the fourth-starting spot, which resulted in him starting fourth in the 30-lap feature.

Nick ran in the Top-5 throughout the event before battling past Tyler Nicely for the lead late in the race. Hoffman went on to bag his ninth win of the 2021 campaign. Nicely, Cole Falloway, Jacoby Hines, and Josh Harris completed the Top-5 finishers.

The team traveled to Plymouth Speedway (Plymouth, Indiana) on Saturday but decided to scratch from the program after hot laps.

The team is currently evaluating the upcoming schedule for their next race. When it’s finalized, it will be posted at www.NickHoffman2.com .

Brandon Overton Sweeps Ultimate Virginia Weekend
Looks Ahead to WoO Port Royal Doubleheader

EVANS, Ga. (05/17/21) – “Virginia is for Lovers,” and with his recent accomplishments it can now also be said that “Virginia is for Brandon Overton.” The Georgia throttle masher parked his Wells Motorsports No. 76 Crossfit Overton/ Allstar Concrete/ Longhorn Chassis by Wells/ Clements Racing Engine-powered Super Late Model in Victory Lane twice over the weekend.

Overton now owns 10 victories on the season.

“Everything fell into place nicely this weekend. On Friday night we bided our time and got to the lead when it counted. Similarly on Saturday I told (team members) before I went out there, ‘I’m just gonna take my time. We got a good starting spot.’ But I’ll admit I fell back a little more than I wanted,” shared Overton. “It was a great weekend for our team, and hopefully we can have another sweep this coming weekend at Port Royal.”

Friday night found Brandon Overton in action at Natural Bridge Speedway (Natural Bridge, Va.) for the Ultimate Southeast Series-sanctioned Road to Jamaica. With the fastest lap in time trials positioning him second on the starting grid for the main event, Overton wrestled away the lead from polesitter Ross Bailes on lap 29 and led the remaining 11 laps to capture his ninth win of the season and a $5,000 prize. The following night at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Va.) for the King of the Commonwealth, Brandon topped his 18-car group in qualifying before picking up a heat race victory. Taking the checkers ahead of Owens, Josh Richards, Tim McCreadie, and Gregg Satterlee, Brandon earned $20,000 for his eighth-career Ultimate-sanctioned triumph.

Ramirez Races to $10,000 USMTS Victory at Tri-State Speedway
Takes Over Top Spot in Latest USMTS Standings

WOODWARD, Okla. (05/17/21) – There was no rust for Dereck Ramirez over the weekend. Despite more than a month break from the driver’s seat, Ramirez raced to a runner-up finish in USMTS action on Friday night before registering a $10,000 triumph on Saturday night in his Ramirez Motorsports No. 4r Koda Services/ Boom-Test Well Service/ Raw Truck Wash/ Hughes Racing Chassis/ Cornett Racing Engine Modified.

Ramirez’ second victory of 2021, which came at Oklahoma’s Tri-State Speedway, was worth a cool $10,000 and marked his second five-figure payday of the season.

“That was fun,” Ramirez said in Victory Lane on Saturday night. “I pride myself on being a clean racer and I didn’t want to dirty him (Austin Seibert) up. I felt like on the last lap there I got far enough ahead of him that I was going to clear him going in the corner, so I had to do what I had to do. You’ve got to win a race and that’s what we do this for.

“I’ve got to dedicate this win to a family back home. Brandon Miller and his family, they lost their dad (Eugene Shahan) and he actually started going with us this year. We got him a victory down there in Texas and this one’s for him. We’re going to miss him, and I know he’d be right here with us, and I’m sure he’s up there watching me today so this is for him. And this is for my dad (Leon Ramirez). He’s been battling cancer and seems like every time we get good news we get bad news and I owe all this racing to him. I love him and I love my family and I just hope he gets better and so it’s for you too dad.”

After more than a month break, Dereck Ramirez returned to competition with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Friday evening at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kan.) in the seventh annual Spring Sizzler.

With 48 cars entered, Ramirez posted a runner-up finish in his heat race behind Tanner Mullens, which positioned him 10th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Marching forward eight spots in the 35-lap affair, Dereck notched a second-place finish behind Rodney Sanders with Jake O’Neil, Lucas Schott, and Dan Ebert rounding out the Top 5.

On Saturday afternoon at Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Okla.) for the Juggernaut, Dereck advanced two spots in his heat race to place second behind Austin Siebert.

Starting the feature in sixth, Ramirez snuck past race-long pacesetter Austin Siebert on lap 35 to grab the lead for one circuit until Siebert wrestled it back on the 36th circuit. Overtaking Siebert again on lap 39, Dereck led the final lap en route to his second win of the season, which came over Siebert, Tanner Mullens, Lucas Schott, and Tyler Wolff. He earned $10,000.

With his win, Dereck has taken over the lead atop the latest USMTS point standings. Complete results as well as the complete series standings are available at www.USMTS.com.
Ramirez Motorsports will be idle this weekend as they prepare for an USMTS tripleheader weekend on May 28-30. Action opens at Iowa’s Rock Rapid Speedway before shifting to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Saturday, May 29. The holiday weekend run draws to a close on Sunday evening at Decorah’s Upper Iowa Speedway.

Dereck Ramirez and Ramirez Motorsports would like to thank all of their sponsors and supporters including Boom-Test Well Service, Koda Services, Raw Truck Wash, Woodward Steel, Hughes Racing Chassis, Midwest Refrigeration, Cornett Racing Engines, Go Lithium, Swift Springs, Woodward Steel, Sybesma Graphics, Afco Shocks, and MSRMafia.com Marketing Services.

Rico Abreu quick with All Stars at I-96 and Route 66; Indiana Invasion begins Thursday

Date: Friday, May 14th
Event: Mace Thomas Classic
Series: All Star Circuit of Champions
Track: I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, Michigan)

Rico Abreu A-Main Finish (Start): 5th (14th)

Date: Saturday, May 15th
Event: Open Wheel Slam
Series: All Star Circuit of Champions
Track: Dirt Oval at Route 66 (Joliet, Illinois)
Rico Abreu A-Main Finish (Start): 23rd (4th)

ST. HELENA, Calif. (May 17, 2021) - Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing put on an impressive display during their weekend opener at I-96 Speedway and eventually translated an All Star Circuit of Champions feature start into a top-five performance, ultimately snapping a chain of poor luck and tough outcomes that plagued the team during their Eldora Speedway visit one week prior.

Abreu, driver of the Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing/Rowdy Energy/Curb Records/Lucas Oil Products/Self Made/The Wiser Agency/Salty’s BBQ/Stadelhofer Construction/No. 24 sprint car, finished fifth during his All Star appearance at the Lake Odessa oval, doing so the hard way by charging ahead from 14th on the grid. Adding to the excitement for his Michigan fanbase, Abreu did not secure fifth until the white flag lap.

Unfortunately, Abreu was forced to retire early the following evening during his visit to the Dirt Oval at Route 66 in Joliet, Illinois. The St. Helena, California-native started fourth on the grid and was battling in the exact same position when he exited the speedway. A heat race victory and an eventual dash appearance allowed Abreu to start fourth on the A-Main lineup.

“We had a solid weekend in the works until our night ended at Joliet. Regardless, to power ahead that many spots at I-96 says a lot about this team. We were patient and allowed the opportunities to come to us and it really worked out,” Rico Abreu said, who is still chasing that first win of 2021. “I can’t thank everyone enough, especially Rowdy Energy for their support this season. Things are starting to get busy so we’ll do what we can to build some momentum and get this Rowdy No. 24 up front.”

Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with another full slate of All Star Circuit of Champions competition, this time joining “America’s Series” for four straight nights of action during the inaugural All Stars Indiana Invasion presented by Rayce Rudeen Foundation.

The four-race weekend, activating on Thursday, May 20, will feature a doubleheader at the all-new Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis on May 20-21, followed by a stop at Gas City I-69 Speedway on Saturday and Kokomo Speedway on Sunday. Sunday’s weekend finale, dubbed the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race, will award a $26,000 payday.

2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Sixth | 3090 points [150 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (May 17, 2021) - Ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz put together another consistent week for Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, powering the Carquest Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Sage Fruit/Digital Ally/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car to three straight top-ten finishes with the Greatest Show On Dirt, highlighting all starts with a fifth-place run during Lincoln Speedway’s Gettysburg Clash on Wednesday, May 12.

Before fading to fifth, Schatz led the majority of Lincoln’s annual Clash, utilizing the pole position via dash win to lead the first 11 circuits, then reclaiming the point to command laps 13 through 24. Brent Marks made a move to take command shortly thereafter leaving Schatz to battle with championship contender Brad Sweet for second.

All but causing a lap 28 catastrophe, an out of sorts lapped car nearly spun in front of the leaders causing most of the top five to take evasive action. Despite the chaos, green flag conditions resumed and Schatz was able to maintain third in the running order.

Brent Marks, who lost multiple positions as a result of evasive action, ultimately made a move to get back by Schatz for third. Marks was followed by David Gravel, who slipped by Schatz late to take fourth.

Schatz capped his eventual three-race, four-day weekend through Central Pennsylvania with a pair of eighth-place finishes during Williams Grove Speedway’s Morgan Cup on Friday and Saturday, May 14-15. Each outcome was the result of forward progress, starting 11th and 12th, respectively.

Donny Schatz and Tony Stewat/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2021 World of Outlaws campaign with a midweek visit to Bridgeport Motorsports Park in Swedesboro, New Jersey, on Tuesday, May 18, followed by an Ohio doubleheader at Attica Raceway Park and Sharon Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 21-22. Schatz will enter the coming week sixth in the World of Outlaws championship standings, padded by16 top-ten finishes in 23 starts. If the Fargo, North Dakota-native can secure a victory on Tuesday evening at Bridgeport, it would officially bump his World of Outlaws win total to 300.

Rodney Sanders Registers $10k Payday at Lakeside Speedway
Earns 108th-Career USMTS Triumph

HAPPY, Tex. (05/17/21) – Rodney Sanders registered his fifth win of the season over the weekend. His latest trip to Victory Lane came on Friday night at Lakeside Speedway in his Wichita Tank Racing No. 20 Kenny’s Tile/ ARMI Contractors/ MB Customs/ Hatfield Racing Engine Modified.

The triumph was worth $10,000 and marked his richest of the 2021 season thus far.

“We had a real good night on Friday at Lakeside Speedway and got the win. We were in the thick of things on Saturday night too, and it looked like we had earned another podium finish. Unfortunately, in post-race inspection I was told that I was disqualified due to a rule’s infraction regarding my suspension. It’s unfortunate, but we’ll just put our heads down and regroup and go after more wins,” Sanders commented.

The United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) resumed the 2021 season on Friday afternoon at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kan.) with the seventh annual Spring Sizzler.

In a stout field of 48 cars, Rodney advanced two spots in his heat race to register a runner-up finish behind Justin Johnson. Starting the opening night feature in fifth, Sanders took part in a heated battle for second with Jake O’Neil, while Tanner Mullens set the pace early.

After Johnny Scott stole the lead from Mullens on the seventh lap, Rodney tracked down Scott 10 laps later to assume command of the top spot on lap 17. Holding off the field for the remaining 18 circuits, Sanders bagged his fifth win of the season and 108th-career USMTS triumph. Finishing ahead of Dereck Ramirez, Jake O’Neil, Lucas Schott, and Dan Ebert, Rodney earned $10,000 for his winning performance.

The following night at Tri-State Speedway (Pocola, Okla.) for the Juggernaut, Sanders passed three cars in his heat race to pick up the eight-lap victory. After crossing the line in third in the 40-lap feature, officials deemed a suspension component illegal, disqualifying Sanders and dropping him to the tail.

Rodney currently sits third in the latest USMTS point standings. For more results from these events as well as the complete series standings, please visit www.USMTS.com.

The Texas native is currently evaluating where he’ll race this weekend. Once his plans are finalized they’ll be posted at www.RodneySandersRacing.net .

The victory was worth $3,500 and marked his fourth of the season.

“It was another solid weekend for our team against some strong fields. We were proud of everything we were able to accomplish, and it was especially nice to end the three days with a win at Hagerstown,” Satterlee said. “We’re looking forward to getting back to Port Royal (Speedway) this weekend. We’ve been pretty good there so far this year, and we’ve got some confidence heading into the Outlaws weekend.”

On Saturday afternoon at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Va.) in the annual King of the Commonwealth, Satterlee followed up the 10th-fastest time in his qualifying group with a second-place finish in his heat race behind Tim McCreadie.

Crockett Captures ASCS Sooner Region Race at Longdale Speedway

Inside Line Promotions - LONGDALE, Okla. (May 17, 2021) - Roger Crockett produced his first feature triumph of the season last Friday during the opening night of an ASCS Sooner Region doubleheader at Longdale Speedway.

Crockett followed with a runner-up result on Saturday during the Walleye Rodeo Roundup finale, giving him three podiums in five races this year.

"It's definitely good to win one early in the year," he said. "It's nice to get the first one out of the way. I still think we can reach our goal to win 10 races this year."

The event began on Friday with Crockett advancing from seventh to fourth place in a heat race. That earned a spot into the feature redraw and Crockett pulled the No. 6 to line up on the outside of the third row for the A Main.

"We got right into fourth and I felt like I was going to come out in second when the leader wrecked, which wiped out second and third in the same corner on Lap 2," he said. "I went low because the drivers in second and third were sliding each other. They both slid into the leader and couldn't do anything.

"After that there was red after red and lots of yellows. It took forever to get going. The track ended up taking rubber on the bottom fairly early. Our car was really good. I ran hard for a couple of laps and then cruised. I wasn't really pushing it."

Crockett's win was his 40th career ASCS regional triumph.

The weekend concluded on Saturday with Crockett finishing third in a heat race before he rallied from eighth to second in the A Main.

"We got a terrible start in our heat race and fell to the tail after the first corner," he said. "We got together with another car in a racing deal. Then we started moving forward and a car got a flat tire in front of us. We passed another guy to get back to our starting spot. We were plenty fast enough, but unable to advance further than where we started.

"They worked on the track and it was perfect in the feature. There was a top and a bottom. Everyone went to the top the first lap and I went to the bottom. I was in second by Lap 2. I moved up and slowly reeled the leader in. He didn't make any mistakes and didn't let lapped cars slow him down. I slid him twice, but couldn't make it stick."

Crockett's second-place finish tied for the second-most positions gained - six - during the race.

"We had our car really, really good," he said. "I wouldn't have made a single change either night. That's always nice."
