Bergman Scores First Victory of Season During Nolan Wren Memorial

Inside Line Promotions - WILLIS, Texas (May 9, 2017) - Seth Bergman captured his first feature win of the season last Saturday during the 5 th annual Nolan Wren Memorial hosted by Gator Motorplex.

"I think we've had a winning car several times this season and unfortunately something always happened to hamper that effort so it feels great to be able to close the deal and earn our first win," he said. "Hopefully now that we're over this hurdle it will be easier to get our second win and so on."

Bergman kicked off the ASCS Gulf South Region event by advancing from third to second place in a heat race. That earned him a position in the feature redraw, in which he pulled the No. 2 to start the main event on the outside of the front row.

"The draw was critical because the track had taken rubber before we went out for the feature," he said. "It was going to be key for us to get the lead on the start and we did. Once that happened we had to make sure we conserved tires as best as we could and we had to try to avoid trouble. Everything played out like we planned and we were able to get to Victory Lane."

Bergman led the distance to garner his first career win at Gator Motorplex.

The weekend began on Friday at Heart O' Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, for the 2nd annual Gene Adamchik Memorial. Bergman finished sixth in a heat race before he won the B Main to transfer into the back of the main event. He then charged from 15th to a ninth-place result.

"We got ourselves in a hole during that heat race so it was good to end the night with a top 10," he said. "Thankfully we continued that momentum on Saturday to cap the weekend with a win."

Bergman will return to Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour competition this Thursday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. He enters the event ranked fifth in the championship standings.

May 5 - Heart O' Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas - Heat race: 6 (3); B Main: 1 (3); Feature: 9 (15).

May 6 - Gator Motorplex in Willis, Texas - Heat race: 2 (3); Feature: 1 (2).

Dover Records First Feature Win of Season at Park Jefferson

Inside Line Promotions - JEFFERSON, S.D. (May 9, 2017) - Jack Dover can breathe a little easier now that the first mark has been tallied in the victory column.

Dover captured his first win of the season last Saturday at Park Jefferson International Speedway, giving him a triumph during all 13 seasons he's competed in a full-size sprint car.

"It feels awesome," he said. "Once you get that first one the next one is a little easier. We're starting to figure some new stuff out as far as the setup and shocks so it's going to get better. I'm really looking forward to the next few races."

Dover opened last weekend on Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., where he kicked off the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints event by charging from fourth to win a heat race. That locked him into the feature redraw, in which he pulled the No. 3 to start the main event on the inside of the second row.

"We got up to second right away and rode around there," he said. "About halfway through the race Thomas Kennedy and I battled it out for second place. With five laps to go the yellow came out and I was third. My car got way better after that yellow. We were able to get second. Ryan (Roberts) snuck away because there were two lapped cars between us, but it could have been close if he was right there. Our car was really good after that late caution."

Dover finished second, which marked his first podium of the season.

The strong performance continued on Saturday at Park Jefferson International Speedway, where Dover maneuvered from fifth to claim a heat race win - his third straight. That advanced him into the feature redraw, in which he pulled the No. 3 for the second straight night.

"We rode around in second for probably 10 laps," he said. "I waited for traffic to make my move on the leader. There was a car in the middle and one on the top. The leader went to the top and I went to the bottom and snuck my way through. We had a couple of yellows after that, but I had good restarts and we pulled away to win."

Dover has won six of his last nine races at Park Jefferson International Speedway.

He is scheduled to make his Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour season debut this Thursday at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.

May 5 - I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb. - Heat race: 1 (4); Feature: 2 (3).

May 6 - Park Jefferson International Speedway in Jefferson, S.D. - Heat race: 1 (5); Feature: 1 (3).

6 races, 1 win, 3 top fives, 5 top 10s, 5 top 15s, 5 top 20s

True Trucking is a trucking company based in Gretna, Neb.

"True Trucking specializes in everything when it comes to hauling," Dover said. "They can pretty much do it all. The True's are family friends who have always been there to support me. I appreciate their partnership and look forward to reaching Victory Lane with them a lot."

Dover would also like to thank Carpet Land, Certified Transmission, Home Pride Companies, Inc., Moss Racing Engines, Eagle Motorsports, Backlund Plumbing, Speedway Graphics, Thorpe's Body Shop, Trail Performance Coatings Inc., ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems, Keizer Wheels, Schoenfeld Headers, Langfeldt Overhead Doors, K&N Filters, FK Rod Ends, DMI, Speedway Motors, Vortex Wings, Ostransky Farms, Select Auto, Select Auto Body, R&G Services and Industrial Plating for their continued support.
