FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Iron-Man Series Revises 2020 Race Schedules due to Coronavirus Pandemic The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series and Brucebilt Open Wheel Series, like many other racing tours have had to adjust race schedules due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Four Late Model events have been ran in the state of Tennessee so far and unfortunately the Open Wheel Series has lost ten races due to this unseemly weird times the country is going through right now. Some race tracks that have been open for several weeks are doing really well and other parts of the country there are tracks that still can’t get open due to state governments regulations. The Kentucky state regulations unfortunately have put a damper on crowds gathering for events therefore Iron-Man series racing in the state has been put on hold. The series has revised the schedules to reflect the changes. The series hopes to get back to Kentucky in 2021 when regulations are lifted. “I hate it so bad for our racers, they work so hard on their equipment to be prepared to race. We also hate it for our great race fans that wanted to see us in Kentucky this year, hopefully some can travel south to watch our events,” stated Series Promoter Chris Tilley. With the remaining five events on the Late Model schedule, more dates could be added in Georgia and Tennessee and there are currently six races on the now revised “Autumn Nationals” for the Open Wheels. The champion will receive $5,000 for the Late Models and $2,000 for the Open Wheels. Promoter Chris Tilley has guaranteed both point funds based on 100 percent of racer attendance according to the rule book specifications. The next event for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Models will be Friday July 3 at Gary Hall’s Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tenn. paying $5,000-to-win. Seven drivers have perfect attendance on the tour heading into the next event.
