SEYMOUR, TENNESSEE (August 24, 2019)– The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com would visit 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN for Schaeffer’s Oil Driver Appreciation Night and Chase King of Seymour, TN would lead all thirty laps on his way to the biggest win of his career to date $3,000. In addition, Taylor Cook of Stanley, NC would lead all twenty laps to score the victory a very entertaining Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series feature contest.

King’s victory would be his first career Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com victory and would come aboard the King Machine and Welding, Jason Lewis Automotive, Super Dave’s Paint and Body, Krawler’s Edge, Schaeffer Oil sponsored #44 Stinger Race Car, B and B Performance Race Engines powered mount.

The win for Cook would be his first career Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series victory and would see Cook take the win in the seat of the Harris Race Cars, Penske Shocks, Eibach Springs, Wix Filters, Scott Rod Fabrication, PB Fabrication sponsored #21 Harris Race Car, SPEC Race Engines powered entry.

Chase King would take the lead at the start of the thirty lap Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com main event, with Robby Moses and Dustin Linville immediately battling for the second position, with Joseph Faulkner and David Crabtree fourth and fifth. As King would stretch his lead early, Crabtree would take fourth from Faulkner on lap four and Austin Neely would snatch fifth away from Faulkner on lap five. Moses would finally win the battle for the second position on lap seven and begin to chase down King. King would start working lapped traffic on lap thirteen and Moses would close in on King and look for the lead beneath King on lap seventeen, but King would maintain the lead. Mack McCarter would begin to mount a charge at this point, grabbing the fifth position from Neely on lap eighteen. King would maintain a steady lead after clearing lapped traffic by lap twenty-two, with Moses and Linville still in pursuit. McCarter would begin to battle with Crabtree for fourth and McCarter would take the fourth spot on lap twenty-six. As the final few circuits slipped away, Moses could not gain any on King, but would get one final shot when McCarter’s fourth place running entry would slow in turn two to draw the only caution of the race. This would set up a two-lap shootout to complete the race, with King holding off Moses for the win, with Linville finishing third, while Crabtree and Neely completed the top five. The remainder of the top ten finishers would be Casey Turman, Bobby Giffin, Faulkner, Dusty Carver, and Andrew Littleton.

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series feature contest would see Taylor Cook outduel Clayton Miller on the opening circuit for the lead, with Miller, Ricky Tinch, Jeff Hamby, and Blake Brown giving chase. Billy Palmer would slow in turn two on lap three to slow the early action, with Cook being pressured again by Miller on the restart, while Tinch and Hamby would battle for the third position. Cook would start working slower traffic on lap nine and Miller would attempt to work past Cook in traffic, but to no avail, while Hamby would finally get by Tinch for third on lap nine. The final caution of the race waved on lap eleven when Josh Henry and Kirk Turner would tangle exiting turn two, with both drivers finished for the night. Cook would again maintain the lead on the restart, with Hamby now pressuring Miller for the runner-up slot. Cook would build a comfortable lead over the final few laps until catching slower traffic on lap seventeen, allowing Miller and Hamby to close a bit. Cook would work traffic to perfection and see the checkered flag first, while Miller would nip Hamby in a photo-finish for the second position. Tinch and Brown completed the top five finishers. Rounding out the top ten would be Jamie Mosley, Jesse Rupe, Amos Bunch, A.J. Garber, and Wayne James.

The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com next events will be Sunday September 1 at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN for the Buddy Rogers Memorial, paying $5,044 to win. The event will be co-sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals presented by Sunoco Race Fuels, along with action at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC on Monday September 2, paying $3,000 to win.
