The Leftover at 411 Motor Speedway to Decide 2020 Iron-Man Late Model and Modified Series Titles on November 28

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (November 19, 2020) - The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com and Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will conclude their respective 2020 racing seasons on Saturday November 28 at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN at the track’s 5th Annual Leftover that will see the Iron-Man Late Models race for $5,000 to win and Iron-Man Modifieds race for $1,200 to win, while the series champions of each tour for 2020 will also be crowned.
The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will be in action at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday November 28 for the 5th Annual Leftover, with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series competitors in a full program of practice, E-Z-GO A-B time trials, VP Racing Fuels Makin’ Power last chance heat races, and the 50 lap, $5,000 to win Leftover feature event. The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will be in competition at the Leftover and will have a full program of practice, E-Z GO time trials, VP Racing Fuels Makin’ Power last chance heats, and the 25 lap, $1,200 to win Leftover main event. Joining the Super Late Models and Modified racers of the Iron-Man Series at the Leftover on Saturday September 28 will be 604 Late Models racing for $1,500 to win, 602 Late Models racing for $800 to win, and Sportsman Late Models racing for $800 to win (Smoky Mountain rules apply for Sportsman Late Models).
Activities at 411 Motor Speedway for the 5th Annual Leftover on Saturday November 28 will see the pit area open at 9:00 a.m., with the general admission area opening at 10:00 a.m. The drivers meeting will take place at Noon, followed immediately by on-track activities. Ticket prices at 411 Motor Speedway on Saturday November 28 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass/tier parking pass will be $35. Children ages 12 and under are $5 at all gates.
In addition, 411 Motor Speedway will present an afternoon of racing action on Friday November 27 that will feature the 604 Late Models racing for $1,000 to win, 602 Late Models racing for $600 to win, Sportsman Late Models racing for $600 to win (Smoky Mountain rules apply), Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $500 to win, Classics racing for $500 to win, B-Hobby/Super Streets racing for $500 to win, and Front Wheel Drives racing for $500 to win. There will be an open practice after the completion of the racing program on Friday November 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Activities at 411 Motor Speedway on Friday November 27 will see the pit area open at 9:00 a.m., with the general admission area opening at 10:00 a.m. The drivers meeting will take place at Noon, followed immediately by on-track activities. The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event on Saturday November 28 and the event will be conducted under the rules and regulations of the tour. The tire rule for the event will be as follows: Hoosier 1350/1600/LM40 or American Racer 48/56 (any of these compounds anywhere on the car). Also, there will be NO droop rule (effective November 10, 2020 and beyond). The entry fee is $100 and transponders will be available to rent from the track. Any driver not making the starting field of 22 cars will receive $50 tow money.
The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of the event on Saturday November 28 at the event will be conducted the rules and regulations of the tour. The tire rule for the event will be as follows: Hoosier M30/M60/27.5 Medium/27.5 Hard or American Racer Hard and Extra Hard (Hoosier Medium/Hard/M60 and American Racer Extra Hard may be used as a right-rear tire option). The entry fee is $40 and transponders will be available to rent from the track. Any driver not making the starting field of 22 cars will receive $30 tow money.
Entering the Iron-Man Late Model Series final tour event of 2020, Ryan King of Seymour, TN currently leads the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series point standings by 47 points over Michael Chilton of Salvisa, KY. The remainder of the top five in tour points coming into the tour’s season finale are Joey Standridge of Tellico Plains, TN, Dakotah Knuckles of Ewing, VA, and Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, GA. Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, TN won the only other previous Iron-Man Late Model event contested at 411 Motor Speedway in 2020 with his victory in the Scott Sexton Memorial on May 25.
Entering the Iron-Man Modified Series final tour event of 2020, Blake Brown of Corbin, KY holds a slim 15 point lead over Brandon Kinzer of Lexington, KY. The remainder of the top five in tour points heading into the tour’s season finale are Jeff Hamby of Lancing, TN, Jimmy Dalton of Powell, TN, and Wayne James of Newport, TN. This will be Modified tour’s first visit to 411 Motor Speedway for the 2020 season.
