FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Iron-Man Northern Series Releases 19-Race Schedule for 2021 Season SOMERSET, KY (November 25, 2020)—The Iron-Man Racing Series will split into two regions for 2021. The Northern Tour schedule has been released that features races in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. The Iron-Man Southern Tour schedule as well as the Brucebilt Iron-Man Open Wheel Series schedule will be released at a later date as the schedules are nearly complete. The Northern schedule features seven five-figure paydays and total purses of all 19 events totaling nearly $500,000. The tour’s title sponsor, points fund and tire rule will be announced in the near future. The tour has a couple of open dates that are still available if race tracks are interested. The Northern tour will open on Sunday Evening April 25 with “The Return” at the Cody Watson-promoted West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, W.V. paying $8,000-to-win. The tour returns to West Virginia Motor Speedway on October 8 & 9 during the Racefest World Championship Weekend paying $5,000-to-win on Friday and $15,000-to-win on Saturday. The October weekend will be co-sanctioned with the Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Racing Series. Atomic Speedway in Waverly, Ohio will be featured for four events on the tour schedule. The “Dan Reno/Jackie Boggs Memorial” Weekend features a $5,000-to-win event on Friday May 7 and a $13,004-to-win event on Saturday May 8. The series returns to the Brad McCown-promoted track on Friday and Saturday June 25-26 for the “Atomic 100” Weekend paying $4,000-to-win on Friday and $12,000-to-win on Saturday. Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio will host the tour for three visits under the direction of Brad McCown. The American Heritage 101 Weekend will feature the Iron-Man Late Models racing for $4,000-to-win on Friday May 14 and $10,000-to-win on Saturday May 15. The final visit of the season will be on Saturday September 25 during the 36th Annual Harvest 50 paying $5,000-to-win. Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky. will feature three paydays for the tour. The Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial will be on June 18 paying $4,000-to-win followed by the Pete Abell Memorial on August 6 paying $10,000-to-win and the Fall Classic will be on October 1 paying $5,000-to-win at the Brandon Hardgrove-promoted facility. All three races will be co-sanctioned with the Iron-Man Southern Series. Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky. will be features for three series visits. The Johnny Wheeler Memorial on May 22 pays $5,031-to-win, the Harold Hardgrove Memorial pays $10,022-to-win on August 28 and the Lake Cumberland Classic pays $5,000-to-win on September 18. All three races will be co-sanctioned with the Iron-Man Southern Series at the Brandon Hardgrove-promoted facility. A West Virginia doubleheader will be featured on July 16-17 as the tour visits Ohio Valley Speedway in Washington, W.V. on July 16 and Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, W.V. on July 17. Both events pay $5,000-to-win. The tour will visit the famed Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Ind. on Saturday August 7 paying $10,000-to-win for the annual Hall of Fame Classic. This will be a doubleheader with Ponderosa Speedway racing a $10,000-to-win on the night before.
