FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Robby Moses and Clayton Miller Share Iron-Man Series Championships SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (December 3, 2019)—The 2019 season for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt and the Brucebilt Iron-Man Open Wheel Series officially came to a close after the cancellation of the Leftover Race which was scheduled for November 30th at 411 Motor Speedway. With the cancellation, Robby Moses of Maryville, Tenn. was crowned the 2019 Iron-Man Late Model Series Champion. Moses’ lone victory came on June 21st at Wartburg (Tenn.) Speedway. Moses claimed three top-five finishes and eight top-ten finishes during the 10-race campaign. Moses drives for Double Down Motorsports and earned $2,000 for his series title. Moses earned a total of $11,925 this season on the tour. Joseph Faulkner of Fayetteville, Tenn. finished second in the series points and finished with one top five and six top-ten finishes. He earned $6,110 this season on the tour. His best finish was third at Clarksville Speedway on March 2nd during the Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic. Joseph drives for Robby Faulkner. Joey Standridge of Tellico Plains, Tenn., the defending tour champion, finished third in the final points and earned $4,895 this season while on his way to three top-ten finishes. His best finish came on March 2nd at Clarksville Speedway where he finished sixth. Casey Turman of LaFayette, Ga. finished fourth in the point standings but did not attend every race. During eight feature races, he finished in the top-ten twice with his best finish coming on August 24th at 411 Motor Speedway where he finished sixth in the feature event. He earned $3,485 but also earned a free ‘Cruise with the Champions’ cruise sponsored by Cindy Knowles, series supporter. The Late Model series saw nine different winners during the ten-race season. Ashton Winger claimed two victories (Crossville and Smoky Mountain) while single paydays went to Brian Shirley (Clarksville), David Seibers (Clarksville), Jimmy Owens (411 Motor Speedway), Robby Moses (Wartburg), Kyle Strickler (Tazewell), Chase King (411 Motor Speedway), Dakotah Knuckles (Tazewell) and David Payne (Tri-County). The average car count for the season was 21. The highest car count of 28 came on May 27 at 411 Motor Speedway. A total of $171,270 was paid out in prize money including money from the points fund. Clayton Miller of Elkton, Ky. claimed his second series title in the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Open Wheel Series. He was a two-time winner this season while driving for Richard Elliott. Miller claimed seven top-five finishes and seven top-ten finishes. Miller earned $2,000 for his series title. Miller’s grand total this season was $7,610 for the eight races. Jesse Rupe of Sophia, W.V. finished second in the final points garnering five top-five finishes and seven top-ten finishes. His earnings was $3,795 this season. Rupe’s best finish of the season came on August 10th at Wartburg Speedway where he finished second. Amos Bunch of Wartburg, Tenn. finished third in the final points where he earned $2,810 and rallied to four top-five finishes and seven top-ten finishes. His best finish of the season came at Tri-County Race Track on May 3rd where he finished second. Wayne James of Newport, Tenn. finished fourth in the final points where he earned $2,355 and had two top-five finishes and seven top-ten finishes. His best finish of the season came at Tazewell Speedway on September 1st where he finished third. Rick Standridge of Vonore, Tenn. finished fifth in the final points where he earned $1,845 during the season and captured two top-five finishes and five top-ten finishes. His best finish of fourth came on June 15th at I-75 Raceway. Tyler James of Newport, Tenn. only missed one race but finished sixth in the final points where he earned $1,000 during the season. He captured one top-five finish and two top-ten finishes on the tour. His best finish of fifth came at Tri-County Race Track on May 3rd. The Open Wheel Series saw six different winners in eight races ran. Clayton Miller claimed two paydays, both coming at Tri-County Race Track. Ricky Arms also claimed two victories (Smoky Mountain and Tazewell) with single victories going to Tyler Nicely (Clarksville), Ryan Ayers (I-75 Raceway), Ricky Tinch (Wartburg) and Taylor Cook (411 Motor Speedway). The average car count was 18 for the season and the highest car count came during the season opener on March 2nd at Clarksville Speedway where 40 entrants filled the pits. A total of $44,015 was paid out in prize money including money from the points fund.
