Gavin Landers to Chase $20k Payday in Race for Hope 74

Batesville, Arkansas (08/17/17) – While Gavin Landers is most noted for piloting his Crop Production Services #77 Sweet Bloomquist Super Late Model, he will be tackling a new challenge in late September.

The 20-year-old pilot from Batesville, Arkansas will hop behind the wheel of a team car to Jeff Taylor in the $20,000-to-win, Race for Hope 74 at Batesville Motor Speedway.

“It’s really cool to have the opportunity to get back in a Modified at my home track,” Landers said. “Jeff [Taylor] builds arguably the best Modified chassis on the market with his Taylor Race Cars, so I know I’ll have a great car under me.”

The Race for Hope 74 will boast a total purse of over $200,000 for IMCA Modifieds on September 26-30, 2017 at Mooney Starr’s Batesville Motor Speedway. The event will be headlined by a $20,000-to-win finale, which pays $2,000 just to start.

“I know it’s going to be a big challenge just to make the finale with all of the tough competitors that will be there, but I’m ready for the challenge,” Landers went on to note.

The event will benefit the Mark and Arlene Martin Hope for Arkansas Foundation, which helps impoverished families in Arkansas.

As Landers prepares for the mega event he’s still looking for a few marketing partners to help with the week.

“With five days of racing it’s obviously going to require plenty of fuel and tires, so I’m still looking for a few marketing partners to help with some of the expenses,” Gavin commented.
