Tyler Erb Scores $12,000 Victory in Debut with Best Performance Motorsports
Set for Seven-Day Run this Week with LOLMDS

St. Marys, Ohio (02/04/19) – Tyler Erb hit the ground running in his debut with Best Performance Motorsports. The 22-year-old Texan scored the season opening win with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Saturday afternoon during the annual RhinoAg Super Bowl of Racing.

The victory came aboard the team's New Point Direction & Lighting #1 Best Performance Motorsports/ Roberts Bee Company/ Rocket XR1/ Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

"I want to thank Eric and Kelly Brock and Randall Edwards for having faith in me to drive their car," Erb commented. "This is a great way to start the season! There is so much tough competition here. I was a little worried in traffic, but those guys gave me plenty of room to get by. It was fast today, for sure. I want to thank Wayne Childress of New Point Lighting and Design, and Billy Franklin for helping us out this year."

Erb entered his first-career event with Best Performance Motorsports on Friday night at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia). He started his night with a heat race win to lock into the fourth-starting position for the 50-lap, $12,000-to-win finale.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature intervened before the feature could be run as a steady rain pushed the finale to early Saturday afternoon.

When action finally resumed on Saturday, Tyler quickly advanced into a podium position. On lap 13 he catapulted past the top two runners in turns one and two to grab the lead.

Once out front Erb kept the field at bay for the remainder of the event, en route to the victory. It marked his third overall win of 2019, and his second-career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series triumph.

On Saturday night the second round of the RhinoAg Super Bowl of Racing came to life. After another lengthy rain delay, Erb started his night by qualifying second in his group, and then backed it up with a heat race win.

Starting fourth on the feature grid for the second-straight event, Tyler ran in the Top-5 throughout the race before crossing the finish line in the fourth position behind Earl Pearson Jr., Jonathan Davenport and Scott Bloomquist.

Tyler is currently tied for second in the latest LOLMDS standings. For more information on the event, please visit www.LucasDirt.com .

Speedweeks action resumes for the team on Monday night, when they kick off the annual Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida). The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) action at the track that is known as “The Clay by The Bay,” spans from Monday through Saturday.

On Sunday night, the team will roll into Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) for the final LOLMDS event of Speedweeks.

Earl Pearson Jr. enjoyed a great start to the 2019 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) 2019 campaign during the weekend’s RhinoAg Super Bowl of Racing. The pilot of the Black Diamond Racecars House Car/ Lucas Oil #1 DriveEtch.com/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model raced to a runner-up finish in the opener before surging to the $12,000 victory in the finale.

In Lucas Oil Victory Lane on Saturday night, Pearson first dedicated the win to his car owner Ronnie Stuckey. "He's been awful sick the past few months, but he’s turned the corner and is feeling a lot better. This one's for him. It's always great to win here for my home fans. Me, Scott [Bloomquist] and [Jonathan] Davenport had a heck of a race," said Pearson before the cheers of the fans at the track, which is less than an hour from his home in Jacksonville, Florida.

"Scott just got caught up there with all the lapped traffic. Our car has been good all weekend. Thanks to Lucas Oil and Sunoco and all my guys who came out to help with weekend. It's a dream come true to win here again at Brunswick. I have seen so many guys that I used to race with down here. It is kind of like a home coming for us."

Pearson Jr. went on to talk about the great handling on his car for both shows at Golden Isles Speedway.

"Just like today when we got on top up there and kind of cleaned off the top. Our car worked great up top, we weren't as good on the bottom. The car has been good every time we have unloaded it this weekend."

On Friday night Earl Pearson Jr. was one of 42 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia) for the series opener. Registering the second-fastest time in his qualifying group behind Hudson O’Neal, Pearson Jr. went on to pick up a 10-lap heat race victory, positioning him third on the starting grid for the feature.

With Mother Nature delaying the main event until Saturday afternoon, Earl improved one spot in the 50-lapper to cross the stripe in second behind Tyler Erb with Jonathan Davenport, Josh Richards, and Brandon Sheppard rounding out the Top-5 finishers.

Returning on Saturday night, Earl secured his spot into the $12,000-to-win finale with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Scott Bloomquist. Starting the feature fifth on the grid, Pearson Jr. blasted past Scott Bloomquist for the lead on lap 33 and held the top spot for the remaining 17 circuits to capture his first win of the season and a $12,000 payday. Jonathan Davenport, Scott Bloomquist, Tyler Erb, and Brandon Sheppard completed the Top-5 finishers in the 50-lap affair.

With three events in the books, Pearson Jr. currently leads the LOLMDS point standings. Full results from the weekend are available at www.LucasDirt.com .

Cory Hedgecock Conquers Crate Late Model Cabin Fever at Boyds
Sweetheart Race at 411 Motor Speedway Up Next

Loudon, Tennessee (02/04/19) – Cory Hedgecock bagged his first win of 2019 on Saturday with a $1,5000 Crate Late Model triumph at Boyds Speedway in his brand-new Cushman #23 K&P Used Cars/ Five Star Hyundai/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Eagle Racing Engine entry.

“I didn’t necessarily end the 2018 season the way that I would’ve liked. It feels like it’s been a while since I won a race, so it feels good to get another one,” Hedgecock commented. “This new XR1 Rocket Chassis felt really good. It was my first time on Integra Shocks and they really helped me have a great handling car. This new Eagle Racing Engine purred all night. We set fast time, started outside pole in the feature, and never looked back. Couldn’t have asked for anymore.

“We’ll get ready for the Sweetheart Race at 411 Motor Speedway in a few weeks, and then really get ramped up for Durrence Layne Series races at Bubba Raceway Park the end of the month.”

On Saturday night Cory Hedgecock hopped behind the wheel of his Valley Transport #23 Crate Late Model for the annual Cabin Fever at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia). Laying down the fastest time in qualifying, Hedgecock started in the outside-front-row position for the finale.

Rocketing into the lead at the drop of the green flag, Cory led wire-to-wire to pick up his first win of the season over Jimmy Elliott, Cruz Skinner, Chip Brindle, and David Kay.

Tony Stewart victorious with All Stars during Bubba Raceway Park’s Winter Nationals

Dates: Thursday through Saturday, January 31 - February 2, 2019
Event: Bubba Army Winter Nationals
Series: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1
Track: Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Fla.)
Tony Stewart A-Main Finishes (Start):
Thursday: 3rd (2nd)
Friday: 13th (12th)
Saturday: 1st (1st)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (February 4, 2019) - It only took four starts for Tony Stewart to navigate his way to victory lane in 2019, and doing so against the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1.

Stewart, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Rush Truck Centers/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/Absolute Automation & Security/No. 14 sprint car, earned his trip to victory lane during Winter Nationals competition at Bubba Raceway Park on Saturday, February 2. Nearly sweeping the entire evening program, Stewart led all 30 circuits to close out the All Star visit to the Ocala oval, eventually lapping over half of the field while maintaining a near-eight second lead for much of the main event.

In addition to his $5,000 victory, Stewart also won his respective heat race, as well as the dash, thus allowing the Columbus, Ind., native to start from the pole position.

“This definitely feels great. We had our friends from Sage Fruit and Rush Truck Centers watching so to get a win for those guys is really special. I felt like I let one get away the other night. I’m still not sure what I did wrong, but we let that one get away on Thursday,” Tony Stewart said, owner of the All Star Circuit of Champions. “We had a fast car all weekend. We really didn’t qualify that well on Saturday, but it put us on the pole of a heat race and that’s where you need to be for these races. I have a lot of great help and I wouldn’t be able to do this without them.”

Although his win on Saturday certainly iced the cake, the three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion kicked off his three-day visit to Bubba Raceway Park with a podium run on Thursday, January 31. Certainly the man in charge until losing the top spot, Smoke led the first 23 circuits before losing the lead to the CJB Motorsports entry driven by Shane Stewart.

Although Smoke was able to battle back and regain control on lap 25, Tim Shaffer soon came into the picture and drove by each of them, earning the lead over Smoke with a drag race off of turn four on lap 28. A few circuits later, Stewart drove by Smoke to take control of second on lap 29.

Forced to battle a stout field, as well as a narrow, but fast racing surface, Stewart’s performance on Friday was disappointing when compared to his results on Thursday and Saturday. The open wheel veteran was compelled to settle for a 13th place finish after starting from the outside of row six.

“It was a fun weekend,” Tony Stewart continued. “You won’t find another track in the world shaped like Bubba Raceway Park. It sets up a lot of unique passing opportunities. I’m looking forward to returning.”
