Robinson piloted his JB’s Disposal Services #7r MB Customs/ Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $5,000 victory with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.

“Oakshade [Raceway] can be a real tricky place, but for whatever reason I’ve just always been comfortable there,” Robinson noted. “It’s fun anytime you can race with your buddies, and Jason [Feger] and I had a great race on Friday night. On Saturday night, passing was tougher, and we came up a little bit short on where we needed to be in the feature. All-in-all though it was another fun and successful weekend for our team, and that’s all that you can truly ask for.”

Friday night found Kent Robinson returning to action with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals with a trip to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio). The weekend’s slate included the facilities’ two-day Birthday Race.

With a stout field of 45 cars registered for action, Robinson recorded the fastest time in qualifying and backed it up with a heat race win. Rolling off third on the feature grid, Kent overtook Jason Feger for the lead on lap 23 and built a 1.157 second margin throughout the remaining 17 circuits to capture his third win of the season and a $5,000 payday.

Feger, Frank Heckenast Jr., Devin Shiels, and Rusty Schlenk trailed them to the checkers.

Returning on Saturday, Kent locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win finale with a heat race victory. Starting in the second position, Robinson dropped one spot in the 50-lapper to place 3rd behind Chris Keller and Jason Feger with Travis Stemler and Brian Shirley rounding out the Top-5.

Zebulon, Georgia (7/15/19) – Shane Clanton piloted his Skyline Motorsports No. 25 Bennett Explosives/ Super K Express/ Capital Race Car/ Clements Racing Engine to the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series win on Saturday Night at Ogilvie Raceway.

The victory marked his second WoO triumph of the year and his fourth win overall on the season. Perhaps most important to Clanton, was that it was his first victory with Skyline Motorsports.

“Greg Bruening has given me a great opportunity with Skyline Motorsports, and it means the world to me. So, to be able to get our first victory together so quick is something pretty cool,” Clanton said. “Our car is getting better every time that we hit the track. With this team and crew that I have in place, now I can focus on what tweaks need to be done to the car, instead of having to worry about turning the wrenches. That’s made a huge difference.

“This was a great last week, and now I’m looking forward to racing in my dad’s memorial race this Saturday at Senoia. Words can’t express what this race means to me, and I’m going to do everything in my ability to win it again.”

Following the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series on a northern swing, Shane Clanton traveled to ABC Raceway (Ashland, Wisconsin) on Tuesday night, where festivities kicked off with the Red’s Auto Badgerland 50. Drawing 25 entries, Clanton started the night with a heat race victory, which positioned him third on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main.

Advancing a position, Shane scored a runner-up finish behind Brandon Sheppard with Ricky Weiss, Jimmy Mars, and Cade Dillard rounding out the Top-5.

On Friday evening at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Shane followed up the third fastest lap in his time trial group with a 10-lap heat race win. Starting the feature from outside the front row, Clanton battled in the Top 5 throughout the feature before crossing the finish line in the fourth position behind Brandon Sheppard, Ricky Weiss, and Dennis Erb.

The following night at Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota), Clanton registered a third-place finish in his heat race, which locked his spot into the main event.

Rolling off the feature grid from the ninth position, Shane worked his way into the Top 5 early and slipped past Brandon Sheppard for the runner-up position on lap-22. Overtaking Ricky Weiss for the lead seven laps later, Clanton held off a charging Sheppard in the final circuits to pick up his fourth win of the season and a $10,000 payday. Sheppard, Jimmy Mars, Dennis Erb Jr., and Darrell Lanigan trailed him to the checkers.

Wrapping up the four-day weekend with the World of Outlaws, Shane stopped at Red Cedar Speedway (Menomonie, Wisconsin) on Sunday evening to do battle in another $10,000-to-win program. Advancing two spots in his heat, Clanton streaked to a 10-lap victory to earn the pole position for the finale.

Slipping one position in the 50-lap feature, Shane Clanton posted a runner-up finish behind Chase Junghans with Ricky Weiss, Brandon Sheppard, and Cade Dillard rounding out the Top 5.

Shane has climbed to fourth in the latest World of Outlaws point standings. Full results from the weekend are available at www.WoOLMS.com .

The team will be back in familiar territory this weekend as he enters a pair of Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals events in his home state. On Friday night, the fifth annual Billy Clanton Classic will be held at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) with a $4,025 winner’s check on the line. Shane won the 2015 and 2016 editions of the event, which salutes the memory of his late father.

On Sunday night the team will invade Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia), where a $5,300 top prize is up for grabs.

Flats Plague McIntosh in First Two Southern Nationals Events

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (July 15) In the opening two races of the 11 race Southern Nationals Series Donald McIntosh was passing for second when he had a flat and had to pit. In the first event at Wythe Raceway he came back to finish fourth and in the next event at Cherokee Speedway he came back to finish ninth.

The car was good both nights and McIntosh and the Blount Motorsports team qualified well, finished well in the preliminaries and were running well in the feature before the flats.

“Car is good, Donald is good and there is no telling what our finishes would have been if it wasn’t for the flats,” said David Bryant. “We are really pleased with everything and looking forward to the rest of the series.”

In the races leading up to the Southern Nationals the car had been good, but needed some speed. After going over the car they found a couple of things that were a bit off. The correction of these problems solved their need for speed.

“The car has been good, but we were lacking some speed. We found and corrected some things and that took care of the speed. It made the car really good,” said McIntosh who admits there is not much you can do about flats. “The two flats kept us from seeing how good the car really is, but what we did see makes us excited about the next nine races.”

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the third race of the series will be held at Smoky Mountain Speedway. Both Donald and Tommy will be in action for this event.

Blount Motorsports enjoys sponsorship from Stowers (CAT) Machinery Corp., Blount Excavating, Massey Electric, Turner Hydraulics, Ole Ben Franklin Motors, Walker’s Truck Contractors, Food City, and The Wine and Spirits Cellar.

BMS races Rocket XR1 Chassis. Power is provided by Vic Hill Racing Engines with Dyer’s Top Rods, Driven Racing Oil, Waterman Fuel Pumps, VP Race Fuels and starting power from Go Lithium batteries. Tyler Erb Lands in Tri City Speedway Victory Lane
Five Days of LOLMDS Competition Set for this Week

St. Marys, Ohio (07/15/19) – Tyler Erb carried his hot hand into battle with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday night at Tri City Speedway. The end result was his second-straight, series victory in his Industrial Resourcing Group No. 1 XR1 Rocket Chassis/ #Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Kicking off a four-race weekend, Erb hit the ground running in Miller Welders qualifying at Tri City Speedway (Pontoon Beach, Illinois) by registering the fastest lap over the 31-car field at the 3/8-mile oval. He then backed up his qualifying performance with a heat race win to lock into the pole position for the Hoker Trucking 50.

For the first 22 laps of the finale, Erb chased Jimmy Owens for the top spot. On lap 23 Tyler edged ahead for the first time to take the lead, and led the next four circuits before losing the lead on lap 27. Not to be denied though, the Texas native blasted back to the lead on lap 30 and went on to pace the final 20 circuits for his fifth series win of 2019.

Mike Marlar, Tim McCreadie, Jimmy Owens and Earl Pearson Jr. completed the Top-5 finishers.

"That was a pretty exciting race. I really didn't want to see that last caution because I had gotten into a rhythm," Erb noted. "I was kind of kicking myself when Jimmy [Owens] got back by me for the lead. I knew when Mikey [Marlar] was behind me that things were going to be tough. I could hear Jimmy under me and then the same thing with Mikey. I just kind of let it go for broke in the last four laps. About a month ago I was in the same position [at Tri City Speedway] and I wasn't going to let what happened last time, happen again.

“Unfortunately, as good as Thursday night went for us was about how bad the rest of the weekend went. We just couldn’t catch a break, but sometimes it goes that way. We’re focused now on banking some wins and big paydays this week.”

On Friday night the team again competed at Tri City Speedway in another $12,000-to-win event. Unfortunately, luck would not be on Erb's side throughout the night, and he was only able to manage a 15th-place finish in the Napa Know How 50.

Saturday found LOLMDS action shifting west to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for the first night of a doubleheader at the CMH Diamond Nationals. Thirty-nine competitors entered the $15,000-to-win event, and Tyler earned the 22nd-starting spot for the feature via B-Main action. In the finale, he advanced to a 16th-place finish.

On Sunday night the final night of the Diamond Nationals was held. Unfortunately, Tyler's luck wouldn't improve. After starting 11th in the feature, he spun late in the going and was able to only rebound to a 21st-place finish.

Tyler is currently second in the latest LOLMDS standings, and he continues to lead the Rookie of the Year battle. For full results from the event as well as the latest series' standings, please visit www.LucasDirt.com .

The LOLMDS roadshow has Best Performance Motorsports preparing for five-straight nights of racing. Festivities kick off on Tuesday night at Brown County Speedway (Aberdeen, South Dakota) with a $10,000-to-win program. On Wednesday action moves east to Jackson Motorplex (Jackson, Minnesota) with another $10,000-to-win race.

The team rolls into I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) on Thursday night for the opening round of the ninth annual Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals. Thursday’s program features a complete $10,000-to-win event. On Friday and Saturday the Silver Dollar Nationals prelims and finale will be contested with a $53,000 winner’s check up for grabs.

Series: Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1
Tony Stewart Finish (Start): 6th (7th)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 15, 2019) - Tony Stewart’s recent trip to the Empire State was complete with not only success, but also consistency, as the three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion earned three straight top-ten performances during Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 competition, two of which podium finishes including a runner-up outcome at Utica-Rome Speedway on Friday, July 12. Impressive enough, Stewart led the first six laps at the Vernon oval, eventually losing the top spot to Aaron Reutzel during an early battle in traffic.

“I’m proud of my team and what we were able to accomplish. The All Stars are a very competitive group. You have to be on top of things every time you are on the race track,” Tony Stewart explained, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Rush Truck Centers/Toco Warranty/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/Absolute Automation & Security/No. 14 sprint car. “We were close a few nights, and we felt really good, we just didn’t have quite what was needed to be on top. Hats off to everyone for making the entire weekend in New York a success.”

Stewart’s visit to Orange County Fair Speedway on Saturday, July 13, also resulted in a podium performance, this time advancing from sixth to finish third on a slick, but racey surface. Better late than never, Stewart did not reach the final position on the podium until lap 24 of 25, eventually working around defending All Star champion, Aaron Reutzel.

Although the weekend ended on a low note for Stewart, finishing sixth on the highbanks of Lebanon Valley Speedway on Sunday, July 14, the level of perseverance displayed to finish sixth was impressive. In fact, Stewart started seventh on the grid and was well on his way to the front when disaster struck in the form of a spin, ultimately sending the Columbus, Indiana-native to the tail of the field with only two laps complete. Not flustered the slightest, Stewart recovered for a top-ten finish, his 28th of the season.

Up next on the schedule, Tony Stewart and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will make the trip to Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario, Canada, for Summer Nationals competition on Monday and Tuesday, July 22 & 23. The two-day, 360c.i. sprint car headliner will award back-to-back $5,000 top prizes.

Donny Schatz A-Main Finish (Start): 3rd (3rd)

Date: Saturday, July 13th
Event: The Badger 40
Series: World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Track: Wilmot Raceway (Wilmot, Wis.)
Donny Schatz A-Main Finish (Start): 1st (1st)

2019 World of Outlaws Championship Standings: 2nd - 5152 points (38 points behind Brad Sweet)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 15, 2019) - A perfect momentum shift entering a busy stretch through the Buckeye State, Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing capped their recent two-race swing through Michigan and Wisconsin with back-to-back World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series podium performances, one of which a victory during action in southern Wisconsin. The victory, the fourth of the season for the Fargo native, pushed Schatz within 38 points of the World of Outlaws championship point lead.

Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Toco Warranty/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/Absolute Automation & Security/No. 15 sprint car, earned his trip to victory lane during action at Wilmot Raceway on Saturday, July 13. A convincing victory, Schatz led all 40 circuits from the pole position, surviving early challenges from Daryn Pittman before keeping David Gravel at bay during the closing laps. It was Schatz’ first-ever victory at Wilmot Raceway.

“I’m sure somebody was coming there at the end,” Schatz said in Wilmot Raceway victory lane. “I was kind of hanging. We could get through a few lap cars, but then when I had to move around in (turns) one and two I wasn’t as good. But glad to get a win. It’s been a while. Always feels good to get the win, especially here in Wisconsin.”

Before capturing his fourth victory of the season, Schatz scored a third place finish during action at Hartford Speedway on Friday, July 12. A late restart would give Schatz an opportunity to climb two spots to score the Hartford win, but unfortunately, the ten-time and defending World of Outlaws champion was unable to capitalize.

Up next on the schedule, Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will set aim on five straight nights of action beginning Tuesday evening, July 16, at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. The annual Brad Doty Classic is on the Tuesday night agenda, an event Schatz conquered for $10,000 in 2018.

Following his visit to Attica Raceway Park, Schatz will spend four nights at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track - Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The #LetsRaceTwo make-up event, originally slated for Mother’s Day weekend in early May before being halted by Mother Nature, will kick-off the four-day stretch on Wednesday, July 17, followed by three nights of Kings Royal action on Thursday through Saturday, July 18-20. Schatz is a five-time Kings Royal champion, with the 2019 edition awarding an unprecedented $175,000 top prize.

The win was his second of the season and tightens the battle for the track’s championship.

“Friday night was big for our team. It allowed us to climb closer to the top of the battle for the track championship. We’re currently fourth in the standings, but only 10 points out of the lead. It’s also cool to be the first Late Model driver to win multiple features at I-80 this year,” Schaller continued. “We weren’t bad with the Malvern Bank SLMRS last week, but on the same note we could’ve been a little better. Hopefully we can make up some ground at I-80 this Thursday.”

Ben’s week came to life on Wednesday as the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing Series (MBSLMRS) competed at Boone County Raceway (Albion, Nebraska). Schaller started seventh in the feature and ran in the Top 10 throughout the 25-lap, $2,000-to-win finale before crossing the finish line in the seventh position.

After a break on Thursday evening, the team was back to the grind on Friday night with a NASCAR Weekly Series event at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska). Ben’s night started with a win in his heat race, which positioned him in the outside-front-row, starting spot in the feature.

Schaller grabbed the lead at the drop of the flag and never looked back on his way to his second victory of 2019. Brian Kosiski, Bill Leighton, Josh Krug and Josh Leonard completed the Top-5 finishers.

On Saturday night he returned to MBSLMRS competition with a trip to Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa), where a $2,000 winner’s check was on the line. After starting 14th in the feature, Schaller worked his way to a 12th-place finish.

Ben is currently fourth in the latest MBSLMRS point standings. For more results from these events as well as the latest series standings, please visit www.SLMRSeries.com .

Chase Junghans Scores WoO $10,000 Victory at Red Cedar Speedway
Preps for Ninth Annual Silver Dollar Nationals

Manhattan, Kansas (07/15/19) – Chase Junghans has been knocking on the door of Victory Lane with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series throughout the season in his Shop Quik Convenience Stores #18 Bozard Ford Lincoln/XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

On Sunday night the Kansas racer was able to get over the hump as he raced to the $10,000 triumph at Wisconsin’s Red Cedar Speedway.

“We’ve been close all year. We just finally got to put a complete night together,” Junghans said in WoO Victory Lane after claiming his third-career win with the tour. “I only saw the [Rocket] 1 car one time out of the corner of my eye. But those guys are damn good, and it feels really good to beat them. They’ll be on their A-game when we start racing again, so we’ve just got to keep our heads down and keep on chugging along.”

Junghans had to encounter heavy lapped traffic as he paced all 50 laps of the finale.

“There were lapped cars left and right, and I was trying to look at my crew guy to see how big of lead I had at one point,” he said. “But when you’re on the top and you’re bouncing off that cushion, it’s hard to be consistent. But this car was phenomenal tonight.

“This win is dedicated to my family, my crew, my sponsors, and everybody who supports my program. Hopefully this is the first of many to come for the rest of the year.”

Chase wrapped up a busy week of action with WoO on Sunday evening at Red Cedar Speedway (Menomonie, Wisconsin) as the series made its debut at the clay oval. Junghans started his night by recording the second fastest lap in time trials before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory.

Starting outside front row for the feature, Junghans jumped to the lead as the race went green. He encountered lapped traffic often and early throughout the 50 lapper en route to his first WoO win of the year and his second overall triumph of the season. Junghans received $10,000 for his winning performance, which came over Shane Clanton, Ricky Weiss, Brandon Sheppard, and Cade Dillard.

Junghans kicked off the week of WoO action on Tuesday evening with a sixth-place finish at ABC Raceway (Ashland, Wisconsin) in the Red’s Auto Badgerland 50.

Returning to action on Friday evening at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, North Dakota), Chase posted a third-place finish in his heat race, which positioned him eighth on the starting grid for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Junghans crossed the finish line in ninth.

On Saturday night at Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota), Junghans secured his spot into the show with a runner-up performance in his heat behind Darrell Lanigan. Battling the handle on his entry in the 50-lap finale, Chase slipped to a 13th-place finish.

Chase sits in fifth in the latest World of Outlaw point standings. For more results from this event, please visit www.WoOLMS.com .

Make sure to visit the Apparel page at www.ChaseJunghans.com to get the latest team apparel.

The team now has their sights set on the ninth annual Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals weekend at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska). Action opens on Thursday night with a $10,000-to-win affair. On Friday night, double heat races will be contested, while Saturday night will see the $53,000-to-win finale on deck. The weekend is sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

He drove his Nebraska-Iowa Supply Company No. 55D Monster Graphix/ Black Diamond Race Car/ Shepherd Engine Development Late Model to a pair of podium finishes in Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing Series (SLMRS) competition.

“For a few weeks we’ve been struggling, but before this past week’s races we went through the car and found a few issues. Our car was much in both events, and I’m confident that we’ve got things pointed back in the right direction,” Deal said. “We had two strong race nights, and now we are gearing up for what will be our biggest weekend of the year at the Silver Dollar Nationals.”

After struggling in both time trials and heat race action, Nick started eight in the 25-lap, $2,000-to-win feature. The team made adjustments for the feature, which allowed Deal to surge through the field to a runner-up performance behind race winner, Josh Leonard..

Nick currently leads the SLMRS Rookie of the Year battle and is second in the overall series standings, just eight markers out of the top spot.
