Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Set for September 21st-23rd at Magnolia Motor Speedway Presented by Cooper’s Country Meat Packers

Columbus, Mississippi (09/11/17) Less than two weeks remain until the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 comes to life at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi as the event will be held on Thursday-Saturday, September 21st-23rd.  

The 2017 Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Presented by Cooper’s Country Meat Packers will be headlined by a $20,000-to-win/$1,200-to-start, 100 lap finale for the Super Late Models as competitors look to tame the 3/8-mile oval in hopes of claiming their share of the total purse that approaches $70,000.

Super Late Model entries are steadily rolling in for the event. Early entries so far include 2017 World 100 winner, Jonathan Davenport along with 2016 Knoxville Late Model Nationals Champion, Mike Marlar. Other early entries include Dale McDowell, Brandon Overton, Billy Moyer, Billy Moyer Jr., Timothy Culp, Jack Sullivan, Tyler Millwood, Garrett Alberson, Chandler Petty, Jonathan Rowan, Kyle Bronson, Eric Cooley, Riley Hickman, Gavin Landers and more.

Super Late Model competitors have until Saturday, September 16 to file an early entry for the event. The early entry fee is $100.00. After this date, the entry fee will be $150. Competitors must file an early entry by mailing a check to Magnolia Motor Speedway, 495 Highway 45 South, Columbus, MS 39701 or competitors can give Johnny Stokes (662-574-2572), Ben Shelton (901-335-3037) or any of the Magnolia Motor Speedway staff early entries.

NeSmith Late Models will be competing for $3,000 top prize.  MSSS Street Stocks will be competing for $2,000-to-win. Factory Stocks will be competing for $800-to-Win, and Late Model Sportsman $1,000-to-Win. 

Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ Trophies will be presented to each winner!

1- $20,000, 2- $10,000, 3- $5,000, 4- $4,000, 5-$3,000, 6- $2,500, 7- $2,000, 8- $1,800, 9- $1,700, 10- $1,600, 11- $1,500, 12- $1,400, 13- $1,300, 14-24 $1,200.

NeSmith Late Models will also be in action battling for $3,000-to-win/$200-to-start with a $100 Entry Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.

The MSSS Street Stock division will be headlined by a $2,000-to-win/$100-to-start with a $75 Entry Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.
The Factory Stock division will be headlined by a $800-to-Win/$75-to-start with a $25.00 Entry Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.

Late Model Sportsman division will be headlined by a $1,000-to-Win/$100-to-start with a $35 Entry Fee. Magnolia Motor Speedway Rules Apply.

Open practice begins Thursday, September 21st at 7:00 PM for all divisions.

Friday night will see preliminary action for the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 as Super Late Models qualify and run heat races as they attempt to make the feature field.  NeSmith Late Models, MSSS Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Late Model Sportsman will run their heats.

B-Mains for all divisions will be contested on Saturday night along for Super Late Models. Last but not least, the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 Championships feature events will be held for all divisions.
