“Smooth Operator” Bobby Pierce Grabs Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series Victory at I-55

PEVELY, MO (August 17, 2019)—Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill. became the eighth different winner in eight races on the Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series by taking the $3,000 payday on Saturday Night at Federated Auto Parts Raceway @ I-55 in Pevely, Mo.

Fast qualifier and heat race winner Pierce and Daryn Klein brought the field of 22 to life for the start of the 30-lapper. Klein would jump to the early race lead but Pierce would get around Klein for the race lead on lap 10 and never look back en route to the feature win over Klein and Jason Papich.

Pierce drove his Rocket Chassis powered by a Pro Power Racing Engine to the victory with sponsorship from Hoker Trucking, Allgayer Inc., Premier Waste Services and Mesilla Valley Transportation.

On Sunday August 18, the series will head to the Charlie Depew-promoted Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Ill. paying $3,000-to-win to wrap up the three-race swing.

Daryn Klein Captures First Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series Victory at Tri-City Speedway

PONTOON BEACH, IL (August 17, 2019)—Daryn Klein of Fairview Heights, Ill. captured his first career Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series event on Friday Night August 16 at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill.

Gordy Gundaker was en route to dominating the night when he broke a driveshaft on the lap-19 restart and Klein would then inherit the lead. Klein fended off a challenge from Jason Papich to go on to the feature victory, his first of the tour. The big mover of the race was Brian Shirley of Chatham, Ill. who started eighth and finished third. Klein became the seventh different winner in seven races on the tour so far.

Klein drove his Rocket Chassis powered by a Dargie Racing Engine to the $3,000 payday. Klein’s sponsors include Klein’s Appliance & Bedding, Randy Korte Consulting, Aggressive Graphics, Menard’s Jeep and Dodge Sales, Laura Buick and Penske Racing Shocks.

On Saturday August 17, the tour will head to Federated Auto Parts Raceway @ I-55 in Pevely, Mo. for the first time in two years and the event will pay $3,000-to-win. On Sunday, the series will head to Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Ill. paying $3,000-to-win.
