Shane Clanton Rolls to Lernerville Speedway Victory
WoOLMS Double Header Up Next

Zebulon, Georgia (05/27/19) – Shane Clanton invaded Lernerville Speedway on Friday night to do some testing for the facilities’ upcoming Firecracker 100. A night of testing and tuning turned into the second win of 2019 for the driver of the Weldbank Energy #25 Super K Express/ Capital Race Cars/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

“We were looking forward to entering three events in Pennsylvania and New York, but rain cut it back to just Friday night’s event at Lernerville,” Clanton said. “The win was a shot in the arm, especially considering we had to do it from the 10th-starting spot due to the redraw after the heat race. We were able to get some good notes for when we go back up there next month for the Firecracker 100.”

Shane Clanton rolled into Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pennsylvania) on Friday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event in the Precise Racing DIRTcar Super Late Model division. Shane started his night with a heat race win. He then drew the 10th-starting spot for the feature in the redraw.

Clanton wasted little time in working his way to the lead in the 25 lapper. Once out front he cruised to the victory, which was his second of the 2019 season. Ken Schaltenbrand, Jared Miley, Tyler Dietz, and Clayton Kennedy completed the Top-5 finishers.

Saturday night’s event at Stateline Speedway(Busti, New York) and Sunday’s race at Eriez Speedway (Erie, New York) with the ULTIMATE Northeast Late Model Series both fell victim to rain.

Full results from Friday night’s event can be found at www.Lernerville.com .

This weekend takes Shane back into action with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series. On Friday night a $10,000 top prize will be on the line at Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia), while Saturday night posts a $10,000 winner’s check at Lancaster Motor Speedway (Lancaster, South Carolina).

David Breazeale and Henderson Motorsports Pocket $5k at Tri-County
Southern All Star Action Resumes this Weekend in Kentucky

Laurel, Mississippi (05/27/19) – David Breazeale parked his L&D Trucking No. 10 Billy Moyer Victory Race Car/ Cornett Thunder Racing Engine Super Late Model in Victory Lane for the first time in 2019 on Saturday night. The triumph came with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models at Alabama’s Tri-County Speedway.

“It feels great to get the first win of the season. We’ve been close several times this year, but tonight we got it done,” Breazeale said. “It means a lot to be able to give the Henderson family another victory as well. Those folks have always been super good to me, and they give me a great car to driver every time that we hit the track.

“We were real lucky to not get more damage than we did when I came up on that tangle between lapped cars there around the midway part of the race. The tires stayed up and the nose stayed on it, so that was a blessing.”

Breazeale started outside-front-row for the Freedom 40 at Tri-County Speedway (Pollard, Alabama). He battled with fellow, front-row-starter Joseph Joiner early in the race before taking control of the lead. Breazeale narrowly avoided disaster, when his car became squeezed in between the wall and a pair of lapped cars as he approached a pile-up on the front stretch.

Breazeale received minimal damage and was able to retain his spot. He went on to lead the remainder of the event on his way to his first victory of 2019. Brian Rickman, Neil Baggett, Bub McCool and Joseph Joiner completed the Top 5.

Full results from the event are available at www.StateSeries.com .

The upcoming weekend – May 31-June 1 – will find Henderson Motorsports heading to Kentucky with the Southern All Star (SAS) Dirt Racing Series. The tour will sanction a doubleheader at Richmond Raceway (Richmond, Kentucky). Friday night is headlined by a $3,000-to-win event that is being tabbed as the “Night Before the Mike.” On Saturday evening the $6,000-to-win, Mike Roland Memorial is on tap.

David is currently second in the latest series standings, just two markers removed from the lead.

Ashton Winger Wins DLDLMS Thriller at Whynot Motorsports Park
WoO Late Model Series at Cochran Motor Speedway Up Next

Hampton, Georgia (5/27/19) – Ashton Winger charged back to the lead on a late-race restart on his way to winning Saturday night’s Durrence Layne Dirt Late Model Series (DLDLMS) event at Whynot Motorsports Park. The victory came aboard Jimmy Waldrop’s No. 9 Winsupply/ Johnny Doan Plumbing Late Model.

The victory in the Coca-Cola Salute to the Navy 50 was his second of 2019 and was worth $2,500

“Whynot has got to be one of my favorite race tracks because I have two wins this season, and they both came there,” Winger said.  “I’ve got to thank Jimmy Waldrop for towing all of the way up here from Tampa, Florida and letting me drive this car.  I drove it earlier this year down in Florida, and it’s a fine handling race car.

“We had a good chance to win on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway, but I messed up and spun out while battling for the lead. It was an all-or-nothing move by me for the win. Wil Herrington did a great job there, and I congratulate him on that win.”

Saturday night’s DLDLMS event drew 29 entries to Rodney Wing’s Whynot Motorsports Park. Ashton started fifth on the grid for the 50-lap feature. As the finale went green Winger began working his way forward. On lap 30, he shot to the lead and paced the field until Justin McRee slipped past to lead a lap. The 38th circuit found Winger back out front, and he would hold the point until lap 46 when Casey Haney took command.

Shortly after Haney took command, the red flag flew for an accident. On the ensuing restart, Winger used the high groove to take back the lead. He led the final circuits to claim the $2,500 victory.

Casey Haney, Evan Ellis, Randy Boyd and Jake Knowles completed the Top-5 finishers.

Sunday evening took Winger to Johnny Stokes’ Magnolia Motor Speedway for a $2,000-to-win DLDLMS program. Thirty-five competitors entered the event, and for the second-straight night, Ashton earned the fifth-starting spot for the feature.

Ashton staged a late-race charge on race leader, Wil Herrington. Ashton threw a slider with two laps to go that resulted in the pair making contact. Winger spun from the contact, ending his chance at the win. He was credited with an 18th-place finish.

Full results from the weekend are available at www.DurrenceLayneRacing.com .

The upcoming weekend will have Ashton returning to his familiar No. 12 with a Friday night visit to Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) for the $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series event.
