Mesilla Valley Transportation/Border Tire and Arizona Differential back as Modified division supporters for 2020 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout PHOENIX, Ariz. (Oct. 11, 2019) – Modified entrants in 2020’s Jan. A $1,000 payoff has been posted for the champion of the six-race Modified miniseries, which includes four $1,000-to-win features and With locations in El Paso, Texas, and Las Cruces, N.M., Mesilla Valley Transportation is a leading truckload carrier and Border Tire is a Michelin Commercial Service Network Dealer (MCSN) specializing in medium duty, heavy duty, agricultural and industrial size tires. Both firms are overseen by Royal Jones of Las Cruces, N.M., a longtime short-track racing sponsor and a competitor himself. “I’m not sure there is a bigger supporter of racing here in the Southwest than Royal Jones from Mesilla Valley Transportation and Border Tire,” said Wild West Shootout marketing coordinator Jason Babyak. “We are thrilled to have him back yet again as an event sponsor and also as a participant. Events of this magnitude are not possible without a solid network of sponsors and a great group of racers, and we are blessed to have both of those as a package deal with Royal Jones.” Owned by Nate Warren, Arizona Differential “Owner Nate Warren and his wife Jen offer a one-stop shop for all your differential-related needs,” Babyak said. “And not only do they sponsor racing, Nate competes behind the wheel of his own Modified and also a Dirt Late Model with the Southwest Dirt Track Association. Like with Royal Jones, we feel fortunate to have the Warrens’ support as sponsors and racers as well.” At the 2019 edition of the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout, Minnesota’s Darrell Nelson claimed the Modified championship. Sixty competitors entered at least one event in the division during the course of the ultra-competitive miniseries.
Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout officials recently announced that online sales of single- and multi-day tickets have begun for the popular miniseries, which will pay out over $200,000 in purses over six nights of Super Late Model, Modified and X-Mod racing. The Super Late Model portion of the miniseries will once again boast the Keyser Quarter-Million Challenge, a lucrative program that offers a $250,000 bonus for sweeping all six features; $100,000 for winning five; $25,000 for capturing four; and $10,000 for claiming three.
