NeSmith Racing Announces 2018 National Touring Division Schedule

CARTERSVILLE, GA - The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has announced its 2018 National Touring Schedule that will feature 26 races at 14 different tracks in five different states.  There are three new dirt tracks on the 2018 schedule of events, and two tracks that will return to the schedule after a few years absence.

               The battle for the 2018 NeSmith Cup, and the $10,000 check that goes with it, begins with the Annual Rumble On The Gumbo, a two-race weekend at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS.  The action begins with a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night, April 6, and then a $2,500-to-win event on Saturday night, April 7.

               Camden Speedway in Camden, TN is a new track on the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour for 2018 with a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night, April 20.  They will team up with North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL, who will have a $2,500-to-win event on Saturday night April 21.  The NeSmith Late Models return to NAS with a two-day $5,000-to-win race on September 28 and 29.

               Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL returns to the NeSmith Chevrolet Late Model Touring schedule for 2018 with five races that include events on both NASCAR Weekends and a Holiday Race.

               TST will host a pair of NeSmith Late Model Races over the April NASCAR Weekend with a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night, April 27, and a $2,500-to-win race on Saturday night, April 28.  They will also host a special $2,500-to-win race on Tuesday night, July 3, and two more races on the second NASCAR Weekend of the 2018 season.  That will include a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night, October 12, and a $2,500-to-win event on Saturday night, October 13.

               Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah, GA will host the first of six events for the NeSmith Late Models in the Peach State for 2018 with a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night, May 18.  They will team up with Cochran Motor Speedway in Cochran, GA, who will present a $4,000-to-win race on Saturday night, May 19.

               Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will open Memorial Day Holiday Weekend action with a $2,500-to-win race on Saturday night, May 26.  Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS will host their first of two NeSmith Late Model races on the "Black Ice" on Sunday night, May 27 with a $2,000-to-win race.  The Mag will end the 2018 season in a big way with the Annual $10,000-to-win Possum Town Grand Prix on November 23 and 24.

               Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN is a new track on the NeSmith Late Model Tour, and they will present a $2,000-to-win race on the 4/10-mile high-banked clay oval on Friday night, June 8.  The action then moves to 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN on Saturday night, June 9 for the $4,000-to-win 7th Annual J.T. Kerr Memorial 40.

               The two McCarter Family promoted East Tennessee tracks will team up with the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour again in August.  Volunteer Speedway will host a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night August 3, and 411 Motor Speedway will present a $2,500-to-win event on Saturday night, August 4.

               Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, GA will return to the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Touring Schedule in 2018 with a $2,500-to-win race on Saturday night, July 30.  Cochran Motor Speedway will host its second NeSmith Late Model race on Sunday night, July 1 with a $2,500-to-win event.

               Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN will return to the NeSmith Late Model National Touring slate in 2018 with three races.  The first event at the historic 4/10-mile clay oval will be a $2,000-to-win race on Saturday night, July 27.  Smoky Mountain Speedway will also host a $2,000-to-win race on Friday night, October 5, and a $2,500-to-win event on Saturday night, October 6.

               Blue Ridge Motorsports Park in Blue Ridge, GA is a new venue for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Touring schedule in 2018.  They will team up with Smoky Mountain Speedway in July, and present a $2,500-to-win race on July 28.

               The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Tour returns to The Sunshine State on November 2 and 3 for the $10,000-to-win 11th Annual Southern 100 at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.
