Cartersville, GA - Week 9 competition for the NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division was plagued with wet weather forcing many tracks to cancel their scheduled events. Just 5 of the scheduled 16 Week 9 events took place. Point leader heading into Week 9, Rob Slott, was not able to compete during the weekend, and that allowed Jason Price to make up the small margin that he was trailing Slott by and claim the points lead. Price competed at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA where he finished with another strong top 5. There is still a lot of racing left with 18 weeks of Weekly Racing still to come.
Headlines from Week 9:
- Friday night speedways faired the best during Week 9 as they were ahead of the rain and storms that plagued racing the remainder of the weekend.
- Jason Baker picked up the win on Friday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS.
- Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS has been plagued by rain, but was able to pull off an event on Saturday night with Ryan Colby picking up the feature win on the gumbo.
- Moulton Raceway Park completed their Friday night program with Chad Winkles visiting Victory Lane once again.
- Brian Grantham was the big winner on Saturday night during an action packed weekend at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA.
- Hattiesburg Speedway's Friday night NeSmith Street Stock winner at Richard Jenkins in his #3 machine.
