CRATE RACIN’ USA LATE MODELS RETURN TO THE “CLAY BY THE BAY”

ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series returns to East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL for the first time since 2012 for three events this Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night. Rounds five, six, and seven of the Winter Shootout Series will be a part of the 44th Annual Winternationals at “The Clay By The Bay.”

There will be a pair of $2,500-to-win 40-lap races on Thursday night and Friday night. The Saturday night 60-lap finale will pay $5,000-to-win. This week’s on track activity at East Bay Raceway Park will begin on Wednesday night with an open practice session.

Kyle Bronson of Brandon, FL will head to his home track as the Winter Shootout Series point leader. After the first four Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout Series races, Bronson has won the last three at Volusia Raceway Park in DeLeon, Springs, FL two weeks ago.

Pierce McCarter of Gatlinburg, TN is second in the Winter Shootout Series point standings, 16 points behind Bronson. Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN is third with Cruz Skinner of Oxford, AL in fourth, and Max Blair of Centerville, PA in fifth. Trynt Lloyd of Jacksonville, FL, Walker Arthur of Forest, VA, Nevin Gainey of Fort White, FL, Corey Almond of Appomattox, VA, and Mark Whitener of Middleburg, FL round out the top ten in sixth through tenth respectively.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday the Pit Gate opens at 4 p.m., and Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Pre-Race Registration will be from 4:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 6 p.m., and Hot Laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
