Brandon Overton Notches Win No. 3 of 2023 with Volusia Triumph
Swainsboro, Smoky Mountain, and Cherokee Next on the Schedule

EVANS, Ga. (02/21/23) – Brandon Overton picked up his third win of the 2023 campaign on Wednesday evening in his Wells & Sons Motorsports No. 76 Muscle Factory / Allstar Concrete / Longhorn Chassis by Wells Motorsports/ Clements Racing Engines - powered Super Late Model.

The $5,000 victory came at Volusia Speedway Park during the 52nd annual Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals.

“We had a pretty good week at Volusia. We won on Wednesday night, and probably should’ve won on Thursday, but I made the wrong decision on the last lap in lapped traffic. It happens though, and overall we were pleased with how our Speedweeks went,” Overton said. “We showed speed pretty much everywhere we went, and now we’re focused on getting ready for our next races, which will be the first weekend of March at Swainsboro (Raceway), Smoky Mountain (Speedway) and Cherokee (Speedway).”

Wells Motorsport and Brandon Overton returned to action on Monday afternoon with the 52nd annual Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.).

After his 15.784-second lap in time trials earned him the fast time honors, Brandon secured his spot into the $7,000-to-win A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat race. Clawing forward three positions in the 25-lap opener, Overton recorded a sixth-place finish.

On Tuesday, Overton qualified fastest in his group before placing first in his heat. With the redraw positioning him on the third row for the feature, Brandon shredded a right rear tire with five laps remaining while running in the third, relegating him to a 22nd-place finish.

With the 52-car field divided into three groups on Wednesday for a trio of preliminary features, Brandon’s fastest lap overall locked him on the pole for his prelim. Leading wire-to-wire in the 25-lap affair, Overton cruised to his third win of the 2023 campaign, pocketing a $5,000 payday ahead of Ashton Winger, Max Blair, Bobby Pierce, and Brian Shirley. The win marked his 13th-career Speedweeks triumph.

As the remainder of the week shifted to a World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series-sanctioned program on Thursday, Overton topped the 56-car field in time trials before placing first in his heat race. Losing the lead on the final circuit, Brandon settled with a second-place finish in the 30-lap affair.

Back in action on Saturday for the finale after Mother Nature washed out Friday’s event during heat race action, Brandon secured his spot into the $20,000-to-win DIRTcar Nationals A-Main with a second-place run in his heat. Gaining two spots in the 50-lap affair, Overton recorded a fifth-place finish, which came behind Hudson O’Neal, Devin Moran, Ricky Thornton Jr., and Tim McCreadie.

Raceway, the $15,000-to-win World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series program on Saturday, March 4 at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.), and the $20,000-to-win Southern All-Star Dirt Racing Series event at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Sunday, March 5.

Joseph Joiner Sweeps Southern Raceway’s Winter Nationals
Jesse Enterkin Finishes Second Both Nights

MILTON, Fla. (02/21/23) – Joseph Joiner opened his 2023 season with a clean sweep of the Crate Racin’ USA 604 Late Model action at Southern Raceway’s Winter Nationals aboard his Base Racing Fuel No. 10 Langenfelder Mechanical Contractors / Three Trade Consultants / Capital Race Car Crate Late Model.

He picked up the $1,000 victory on Friday night and followed it up with a $2,500 victory on Saturday evening at the Florida oval.

“It was a really good weekend for our team. My car ran great both nights and we got both wins,” Joseph Joiner said. “Hats off to Jesse (Enterkin) for two second-place finishes. He’s off to a great start to the year, and Jonathan (Joiner) did a great job running in the Top 5 both nights in the 604 division with his 602 motor.”

Hunt the Front opened their 2023 campaign on Friday night at Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) as Joseph Joiner, Jesse Enterkin, and Jonathan Joiner all went into battle in the $1,000-to-win Crate Racin' USA 604 Dirt Late Model event.

Joseph qualified fastest in time trials to earn the pole for the feature and went on to lead every lap on his way to the win. Meanwhile, Jesse qualified ninth but rallied to finish second. Despite being underpowered with a 602 powerplant, Jonathan qualified fifth fastest and crossed the finish line in fourth.

Action continued on Saturday night with a $2,500-to-win program, and the result was the same for Joseph. He led every lap of the feature from the pole position for his second win in as many nights.

From the second-starting position, Jesse repeated his runner-up finish in the feature from the previous night, while Jonathan notched a fifth-place finish.

Next on tap for the team is a return to Southern Raceway this Saturday night, where Jonathan will compete in the $1,000-to-win Late Model Sportsman division.
