Ahnna Parkhurst Launches New Cyber Home
Double Duty Planned for This Saturday at Boyd’s Raceway

Evans, Georgia (01/31/18) – Evans, Georgia racer, Ahnna Parkhurst is the newest addition to the MSR Mafia team and has launched a brand-new cyber home at www.AhnnaParkhurst.com.

The 17-year-old racer enjoyed a breakout year in 2017, which found her in Victory Lane on three separate occasions in her LauriesFund.org #23 Richard Childress Racing Dirt Late Model. With the 2018 season now here, the personable young driver is looking for a stellar campaign.

In 2018 Ahnna will compete in both Crate Late Model and Super Late Model competition as she splits her time between her Sweet-Bloomquist Race Car and her Warrior Race Car. She also plans to enter select pavement races this season.

Parkhurst was rained out on Saturday afternoon, while trying to open her 2018 season in the Super Late Model and Crate Late Model portions of the 10th annual Cabin Fever at Boyd's Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia).

As a result, she'll return to the 1/4-mile oval this Saturday, where she'll again look to compete in both divisions.

“We only got to hot lap before the rain came, but both cars felt really good. I’m really looking forward to returning to Boyd’s Speedway this Saturday to see what we can do,” Parkhurst noted. “I’m ready to officially get 2018 underway.”

Big Frog Motorsports Expands for 2018
Devin Dixon and Riley Hickman to Lead the Team’s Charge into New Territory

Ocala, Florida (01/31/18) – With the 2018 season screaming onto the scene at full speed Big Frog Motorsports is entering a brave new era of its existence.

The team enters the new campaign with a new focus, new drivers, and an ambitious plan.

“I’ve taken full ownership of the team,” Big Frog Motorsports’ Augie Burttram commented. “We’ve also brought Carl Sherwood with M&W Transport on board as a principal sponsor, and that’s allowing us to really expand our program. Devin Dixon will continue to be our primary driver, but we also will be fielding an entry for Riley Hickman at some events later in the season.”

The team will utilize Clements Racing Engines in their XR1 Rocket Chassis Super Late Model entries.

Fresh off his Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series Championship with Big Frog Motorsports in 2017, Florida’s Devin Dixon will embark into new territory in 2018. The plan is to have Dixon contend for the Rookie of the Year title and Championship on both the Ray Cook’s Spring Nationals and Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals tours.

“I’ve done some open engine stuff over the past few years, but I’ve never really focused on it solely, and that’s exactly what we are going to do this season,” Dixon noted. “I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity, and I’m looking forward to having Riley (Hickman) to bounce ideas and notes off. This is going to be a fun season.”

For Hickman, he’s looking forward to entering events with Big Frog Motorsports, when not competing in his own entry.

“This is a cool deal to be able to drive for Augie (Burttram) in some races this season,” Hickman said. “He’s got some really good equipment, and it’s an honor anytime that someone asks you to drive their hot rod. Hopefully this deal will work out great for all of us.”

The team plans to officially kick off their 2018 season on Friday and Saturday during the annual Super Bowl of Racing at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia). The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned affair posts a $10,000 top prize on Friday and a $20,000 winner’s check on Saturday.

Burttram is honest about the team’s goals for the upcoming, ambitious season.

“This has been the ultimate goal for myself and team crew chief Mike Rey since we started this team,” Burttram stated. “Now the ball is in our court to make it a success. It’s going to be a big challenge for sure, but I’m pumped for the opportunity.”

Giovanni Scelzi Lands Premier Ride With Silva Motorsports and Priority Aviation Services

Inside Line Promotions - FRESNO, Calif. (Jan. 31, 2018) - Giovanni Scelzi is jumping on a top-notch opportunity for the 2018 season.

Scelzi will team up with veteran car owner and crew chief Paul Silva and Richard and Jennifer Marshall of Priority Aviation Services for a 20-race schedule, mostly encompassing the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series swings along the West Coast in the spring and the fall.

"It's probably the biggest step in my career," Scelzi said. "Working with a guy like Paul is incredible. Whatever car he's touched has been a superstar with Shane Stewart, Kyle Larson and Rico Abreu to name a few. Hopefully I can continue that trend.

"Richard and Jennifer have taken a lot of teams to the next level. I've been fortunate to get to know them and become friends with them. I appreciate their support and the opportunity they are helping provide."

The first event for the Silva Motorsports Inc. No. 57 is the World of Outlaws doubleheader at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas on Feb. 28 and March 1.

"I definitely think he has a lot of talent and a lot of ability," Silva said. "He will be racing with the World of Outlaws, which he has yet to do. It's totally different. It's something I'm looking forward to."

The Priority Aviation Services backed team is slated to tackle approximately 17 World of Outlaws shows in Nevada, California, Washington and Oregon with the season potentially wrapping up at the famed Trophy Cup in October.

"Gio is obviously a very talented kid," Richard Marshall said. "I was looking to fill a seat for the Chili Bowl when I was hanging out with Kyle Larson a few months back. Jennifer and I have tried to give a young kid a shot the last few years. I asked Kyle to give me a name. He said Gio. He didn't even hesitate. I've got to know Gio and his family. Every time I sit down with him I feel like I'm talking to a 40-year-old man, not a 16-year-old. He's a great kid."

More information about the team, including the full schedule, will be released in the near future.
