Black Diamond Racecars and Earl Pearson Jr. Win at 141 Speedway
26th Annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100 Up Next

Shreveport, Louisiana (05/22/18) – Earl Pearson Jr. and the Black Diamond Racecars house car program figuratively and literally made a big splash on Friday night at Wisconsin’s 141 Speedway.

Pearson Jr. surged to the lead with six laps remaining and went on to claim his second win of the season with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in his Black Diamond Racecar #1 Lucas Oil Products/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $12,000 win.

Moments after taking the win, Pearson Jr. took a ceremoniously dive into the track’s infield pond.

“What a night for Stuckey Enterprises and Black Diamond Chassis,” said the 46-year-old Pearson, who used the low groove to slip under Pierce exiting turn four on lap 44 for the winning move. “First time here and I never knew of the tradition to jump into the pond if you win the race, so it’s a little cold out here. But anyway, what a heckuva race.

“I want to thank Ronnie and Terri Stuckey as well as my team and all of our marketing partners for their awesome support. Our team is really performing well right now, and hopefully we can continue to build momentum into the second half of the season.”

Earl Pearson Jr. and the Black Diamond Race Team made the trek to 141 Speedway (Maribel, Wisconsin) on Friday evening, kicking off the three-day stretch with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).

In a field of 25 Super Late Models, Earl locked his spot into the opening night feature with a third-place finish in his heat race. Earning the seventh-starting position for the feature, Pearson Jr. was battling for a podium finish in the early stages until a lap-26 restart when he passed Hudson O'Neal for second and set his sights on race-leader Bobby Pierce.

Overtaking Pierce on lap 44, Earl Pearson Jr. held the top spot for the final six circuits to capture his second win of the season and a $12,000 payday. Pierce, Hudson O’Neal, Jimmy Mars, and Darrell Lanigan completed the Top-5 finishers.

The following night at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) for the NAPA Auto Parts North Star Nationals, Earl locked his spot into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with a 10-lap heat race win. Starting in fourth for the finale, Pearson ultimately slipped back to a 12th-place outing in the 50-lap affair.

Sunday night’s Go-50 at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) was postponed to July 19th by Mother Nature.

Earl is now tied for second in the latest Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) point standings.
