Jared Landers Returns to Action this Weekend

Batesville, Arkansas (03/24/17) – For the first time since mid-August 2016 Jared Landers will return to action this weekend. He will pilot an entry fielded by Louisiana’s David Peterson Racing.

“David [Peterson] and Ronnie [Stuckey] have given me a great opportunity to pilot a car this weekend and for future events,” said Landers. “I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to returning to the driver’s seat this weekend.”

Landers was sidelined for the second half of the 2016 season after doctors discovered he was still suffering from injuries incurred in a violent wreck on July 15, 2016 at Illinois’ Tri City Speedway.

He was cleared to return to action in late November, but an end-of-the-year split with his former team left him looking for rides in 2017.

“Stuckey called me and said let’s put this deal together, and I told him I was all on board if he would help me get adjusted to his cars,” noted Landers. “So he’s going to be helping me at all of these events. Again I’m really excited and appreciative of the opportunity.”

This weekend – March 25-26 – Landers will pilot a #777 Black Diamond Chassis with a Clements Racing Engine for David Peterson Racing in World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series events at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) and LoneStar Speedway (Kilgore, Texas). The team also fields entries for B.J. Robinson and Allen Tippen.

Jared is currently putting together a schedule for the remainder of the year with details to be announced in the coming weeks.

Jared would like to thank all of his sponsors including David Peterson Motorsports, Bad Boy Mowers, and MSRMafia.com Marketing Services.

Lonnie Wheatley, CLUTE, Texas (March 24, 2017) – Aaron Reutzel closed out the opening weekend of the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour with a strong sixth-place finish in the 44th edition of Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s “Spring Nationals” last weekend in Mesquite, TX.

Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour action continues for Reutzel and the Dissolvalloy Downhole Revolution/BC Fundz No. 87 Triple-X Sprint Car team this Sunday night at Moberly, Missouri’s Randolph County Raceway after the $15,000-to-win NCRA Air Capital Shootout at 81 Speedway near Wichita, KS, on Friday and Saturday.

Reutzel’s bid for a second Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour title in three years got off to a rough start after he missed the feature cut in last Friday’s prelim.

“It was fairly typical Devil’s Bowl,” Reutzel says.  “We drew bad and then it was one lane in the heat race, we just passed one car.”

The run through the “B” didn’t work out either for the driver of the Wren Motorsports/Momentum Racing Suspensions entry.  “We were up to fifth, then the motor didn’t seem right so we called it a night.”

With a rough opening night at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in the books, Reutzel and the Nattress Construction/Wings Unlimited team bounced back in strong form with an impressive Saturday night.

“It was a lot racier track, we went from eighth to fourth in the heat race and then won our qualifier from fourth,” Reutzel recalls.

From there, Reutzel started the feature in seventh and ultimately finished out the weekend sixth aboard the Wright Way Logistics/Walker Performance Filtration entry.

“We were good in the feature, just not good enough to drive by people,” Reutzel says.  “It was a step in the right direction though, it’s better than we have been there in the past.”

Reutzel sets his sights on some big money with a return to Kansas’ 81 Speedway this weekend.  It’s a place that he has been to only once when he stormed to victory lane in Regional competition in June of 2014.

“We were really good there, we can just hope for more of the same,” Reutzel says.

Sunday’s ASCS outing at Moberly’s Randolph County Raceway marks his first visit to the Missouri oval.

2017 Quick Stats:  18 races, 3 top-tens

Up Next: NCRA Air Capital Shootout at 81 Speedway on Friday and Saturday and then Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour action at Moberly, Missouri’s Randolph County Raceway on Sunday.

Bellm Moves on to Moberly after Solid ASCS Opener at Devil’s Bowl

Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (March 24, 2017) – Kyle Bellm opened another full year of competition on the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour in solid form with a pair of twelfth-place finishes aboard the Resource Asset Management Solutions (RAMS) No. 14k Sprint Car at last weekend’s 44

th Annual Devil’s Bowl Speedway Spring Nationals in Mesquite, TX.

Series action continues in Bellm’s native Show-Me State with Sunday’s card at Moberly’s Randolph County Raceway.

“It was a good weekend of racing,” Bellm said of last weekend’s opener at Devil’s Bowl.

Although, it didn’t necessarily start on a positive note for the driver of the PPG Automotive Finishes/Colorvision entry.

“We drew terrible,” Bellm said of the pill that put him at the tail of Friday’s fifth heat race among a field of nearly 50 entries.

Bellm picked up a pair of positions in his heat and then another one in his qualifier to land the fourth starting position in the “B” Main, from which he transferred on to the feature aboard the VP Racing Fuels/Schure Built Suspensions machine.

Starting from 21st, Bellm worked his way forward to a 12th-place finish.  “We fought our way forward, we were really good in the feature,” Bellm said of the night.

A runner-up heat race finish and then third-place qualifier finish made it easier for Bellm and the Christian County Collision Repair/Bybee Lawn Care entry on Saturday by earning a 15th-starting position for the Devil’s Bowl Spring Nationals finale.

Bellm ultimately finished out the weekend with another 12th-place run in the Schaeffer Oil/Prater Designs/The Engine Heater entry.

“It just took us a little too long to get going,” Bellm said of the Saturday night feature run before picking off three positions on the final restart to finish out the weekend.  “I just needed another yellow or two or to have found my line a little sooner.”

With a solid Devil’s Bowl weekend that puts him among the top ten in early Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour points, series action continues Sunday at the Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, MO.

Bellm’s most recent run at Randolph County Raceway resulted in a runner-up finish in Regional action last July.

2017 Quick Stats:  2 races, 2 twelfth-place finishes.

Up Next: Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Moberly, Missouri’s Randolph County Raceway on Sunday, March 26.
