Tim McCreadie and Rocket1 Racing Compete in Dirt Late Model Dream XXX
LOLMDS Smoky Mountain Speedway Weekend Ahead
SHINNSTON, W.Va. (06/10/24) – Tim McCreadie piloted the Valvoline / Seubert Calf Ranches No. 1 Rocket1 Racing / Ace Metal Works / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model into competition over the weekend during the 30th running of the Dirt Late Model Dream.
Tim started the weekend with a ninth-place finish in his prelim feature, followed by a 14th-place finish in the finale at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway
“We just seemed to be a little off all weekend. We weren’t terrible, but as everyone knows at Eldora (Speedway) you have to be hitting on all cylinders at all times to be a contender. As a team we did get a lot of new notes throughout the weekend, and we are already looking forward to getting there back in September for the World 100,” McCreadie said. “A big shout out to this team as they worked their tails off all weekend. We found some mechanical issues after the heat race on Saturday night, and those guys did an amazing job getting us ready to run the feature. Thank you to them and everyone, who supports our program.”
With Wednesday’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America event rained out following hot laps, Rocket1 Racing and Tim McCreadie returned to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday night for the team’s preliminary program for the 30th annual Dirt Late Model Dream.
Competing in a new format that split the field in half over Thursday and Friday, McCreadie followed up the third-fastest time in his qualifying group with a runner-up heat race showing. With a $25,000 top prize up for grabs in the feature, Tim rolled to a ninth-place finish in the 50-lap affair.
With preliminary results on Thursday and Friday setting up heat race lineups on Saturday evening, Tim raced f to a third-place finish in his 15-lap heat race, locking him into the $100,030-to-win Dream XXX.
After having to thrash before the feature to remedy mechanical issues that were discovered following the heat race, McCreadie started 13th on the feature grid. The New York native was shuffled back a few spots early but managed to claw back through the field to finish 14th in the 100-lapper.

The weekend opens on Friday with a $10,000-to-win program, while Saturday’s action is headlined by a $50,000-to-win finale.
