Tim McCreadie Collects Another Top 10 in LOLMDS Action at 34 Raceway
Eagle Raceway, Shelby County Speedway, and Huset’s Speedway this Week

SHINNSTON, W.Va. (07/15/24) While Mother Nature took two of the three scheduled weekend events for Tim McCreadie, he was able to race last Thursday at Iowa’s 34 Raceway, where he led early before ultimately finishing sixth aboard the team’s Valvoline / Seubert Calf Ranches No. 1 Rocket1 Racing / Ace Metal Works / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

With the Top-10 finish McCreadie continues to sit fourth in the latest Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) point standings.

“The night started good with a solid qualifying effort followed by a heat race win. We were able to lead early there in the feature, but the track threw us a bit of a curveball, and we just weren’t good enough to maintain as the feature wore on. Still a solid sixth-place finish to show for our efforts. It was tough to see the other two events rained out. We’re looking forward to getting back after it on Monday night at Eagle Raceway,” McCreadie said.

Despite Mother Nature winning two of the three Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) scheduled events over the weekend, Rocket1 Racing and Tim McCreadie were able to compete on Thursday at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) for the 16th annual Slocum 50.

Drawing 31 Late Models for the event, honoring the late track champion Brent Slocum, McCreadie outran pole-starting Garrett Alberson in his heat race to pick up the eight-lap victory. Chasing the $15,555 top prize in the feature, Tim led the opening circuit and laps 10-13 before ultimately crossing the line sixth in the 50-lapper.

After wet weather forced officials at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) to cancel Friday's event, Saturday night's 18th annual CMH Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) also fell victim to Mother Nature.

Tim continues to sit fourth in the latest LOLMDS standings.

Full results from the event are available at www.LucasDirt.com .

The team is now ready for a busy week of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) competition in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota. Action opens on Monday at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway with a $10,000-to-win affair before shifting to Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa) on Tuesday for a $10,053-to-win event.

After an off-day on Wednesday the LOLMDS contingent invades Huset’s Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) on Thursday – Saturday. A $10,000-to-win event is slated for Thursday with the 2024 edition the Silver Dollar Nationals kicking into gear with double heats on Friday followed by b-mains, and the $53,000-to-win finale on Saturday evening.

Tim McCreadie won the Silver Dollar Nationals in 2017, while Rocket1 Racing snared the win in 2020 with Brandon Sheppard at the wheel.

Dale McDowell Bests Southern Nationals Visit to Volunteer Speedway
Receives $7,553 for Fourth Win of 2024

MOORESBURG, Tenn. (07/15/24) – Dale McDowell’s 2024 success at Volunteer Speedway continued on Sunday evening with a $7,553 Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series triumph aboard his Shane McDowell Racing / E-Z-GO No. 17m Cometic Gaskets / Klotz Synthetic Lubricants / Connected Strategy Advisors / Team Zero Race Cars / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

McDowell’s third win of the year at the high-banked oval and fourth overall triumph of the season came one night after a flat tire while leading snared his chances for victory at Wythe Raceway.

"Last night at Wythe (Raceway) we had one (a win) slip from our grip when I had a flat tire while leading, but tonight I guess you could say we got redemption. I told them a while ago these are getting more special and more special because as I'm getting older, I don't know when it's gonna be the last one," the 58-year-old McDowell said after topping Sunday night’s event. "I'm enjoying every one of them, and I’m so grateful for everyone who supports this team and makes it all possible."

Joining Ray Cook's Schaeffer’s Oil Southern National Series on Saturday afternoon, Dale McDowell checked into Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Va.) for the first of two nights of action with the series.

Laying down the quickest lap out of 16 Late Models, McDowell led flag-to-flag in his heat race and earned the pole for the $10,053-to-win event. Dale took the top spot from the drop of the green flag and paced the field until he suffered a flat tire on lap 18. Storming back from the rear of the field, McDowell ended up fourth at the checkered flag in the 53-lap feature.

At Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Sunday, Dale locked into the A-Main through qualifying and started on the front-row. Dominating the 40-lap feature, McDowell outran Chris Madden to the checkered flag and picked up the $7,553 paycheck.

The win was his fourth of the 2024 campaign and his 14th-career Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series triumph.

His sixth win of the year was worth $10,000 as he took top accolades in the Birthday Race for the second time in his career.

Ryan Timms Collects $10,000 USAC Victory at Jefferson County Speedway
Prepping for Busy Week in Sprint Car and Midget

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (07/15/24) – Ryan Timms got sweet revenge at Jefferson County Speedway over the weekend with a $10,000 USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship victory in Saturday's Riverside Chevrolet Midwest Midget Championship finale aboard his Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 67 JBL Audio Midget.

After an ill-timely caution spoiled his lead at the Nebraska oval a few years back, Timms grabbed the lead on lap 15 on Saturday night and ran away with the five-figure payday.

“Being able to move around here is really important,” Timms said in Victory Lane. “The line changed quite a bit. There at the beginning, it was top-dominant, and once we got to lapped traffic and my car was good enough, I was able to move around, and we moved past Jade (Avedisian). From there on, it was just about racing my own race and getting through lapped traffic as perfectly as possible.”

Timms' busy race-week kicked off on Tuesday with an in-state visit to Red Dirt Raceway (Meeker, Okla.) to pilot Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 67 Midget for the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Championship opener.

With the seventh annual Tuesday Night Thunder drawing 25 entries, Timms set a new track record on the first lap of his time trial session but went for a tumble on the second lap. After the crew thrashed to make repairs before the start of his heat, Ryan raced into the $4,000-to-win A-Main with a fourth-place heat finish. Moving forward again in the feature, Timms climbed two spots in the 30-lap affair to register a fourth-place finish.

On Wednesday evening at Mitchell County Fairgrounds (Beloit, Kan.), Timms’ runner-up heat showing pinned him on the eighth row for the Chad McDaniel Memorial A-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top 10, Ryan advanced to a ninth-place finish.

Seeking redemption at Jefferson County Speedway (Fairbury, Neb.) on Friday, Ryan invaded the 1/5-mile oval for the two-day Riverside Chevrolet Midwest Midget Championship. In the opener, Timms followed up a heat race victory with an eighth-to-fourth run in the 30-lap feature.

Locked into the third-starting position for Saturday’s finale via his heat race performance earlier in the evening, Timms vaulted into the lead on lap 15 and controlled the remainder of the 40-lap affair to capture his ninth win of the season and the $10,000 top prize. He took the checkers ahead of Zach Daum, Cannon McIntosh, Jacob Denney, and Jade Avedisian.

Ryan is currently third in the latest USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Championship point standings.

Timm’s weekend concluded on Sunday with a runner-up finish in the 410 Sprint Car feature at Huset’s Speedway (Brandon, S.D.). He joined race-winner Scott Bogucki on the podium with Kaleb Johnson coming in third.

Full results are available at www.USACRacing.com and www.HusetsSpeedway.com.

Timms is gearing up for a busy week that will kick off on Tuesday with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series at Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park. The remainder of his busy slate follows:

Wednesday, July 17th: High Limit Racing at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, OH)
Thursday, July 18th: High Limit Racing at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, OH)
Friday, July 19th: Xtreme Outlaw Series at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, IL)
