(08/03/21) – Brandon Sheppard and Rocket1 Racing rolled into the famed Fairbury Speedway over the weekend for the 31st edition of the Prairie Dirt Classic. Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win finale found Sheppard recording a fifth-place finish in his Valvoline No. 1 Seubert Calf Ranches/ Durham Racing Engines-powered XR1 Rocket Chassis Super Late Model. “Really late in the race when my car came to me, I was a few spots too far back,” Sheppard said. “We just had to make the most out of it and made a few passes on the restarts and just came up short. It’s disappointing because we had a better car than where we finished. We’ll head to Wisconsin this week to go after some more big checks. Thanks as always goes out to all of our marketing partners and supporters.” Taking part in one the biggest weekends of the year with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Morton Buildings Late Model Series, Rocket1Racing and Brandon Sheppard invaded Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Friday afternoon for the 31st annual Prairie Dirt Classic. Starting his $3,000-to-win preliminary feature in sixth, Brandon improved three spots in the 25-lapper to register a third-place finish. With his third-place finish in preliminary action on Friday placing him 11th on the starting grid for Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic, Sheppard advanced six spots in the 100-lap affair to finish fifth. Rodney Sanders Victorious Again at The Dirt Track at TMS
Three-Race Weekend Awaits in Wisconsin and Iowa

HAPPY, Tex. (08/17/21) – Rodney Sanders bagged his 15th win of 2021 on Sunday evening with a Red River Modified Tour victory at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway. The triumph was worth $2,500 and came aboard a David Tanner-owned Wichita Tank Racing MB Customs Modified.

“Well, unfortunately we saw our five-race win streak snapped on Monday night at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway, but we can’t complain. We still finished second and got a win the night before. That place has really been good to us this year,” Sanders said. “I really appreciate David Tanner letting me drive his car. He’s always been a great friend and a great supporter of my racing program.”

On Sunday afternoon, Rodney Sanders returned to the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway (Justin, Texas) to pilot a David Tanner-owned Modified as the Red River Modified Tour collided with the Outlaw Modifieds for the third round of the five-race miniseries. Following a second-place finish in his heat, Sanders cruised to the 20-lap victory in the feature to keep his five-race win streak with the Texas Monday Series alive. He pocketed $2,500 for his 15th win of the 2021. Jake Gallardo, Fito Gallardo, Bo Day, and Kale Westover completed the Top-5 finishers.

Doing battle for another $2,500 top prize on Monday evening, Rodney posted a third-place finish in his heat race, which positioned him fifth on the starting grid for the feature. Unable to hold off a charging Lance Mari, Sanders notched a runner-up finish in the feature.

On Sunday evening the weekend draws to a close at Mason City (Iowa) Motor Speedway for another $3,000-to-win USRA Modified event.

Additionally, RacinDirt.com has posted a pair of weekend bonuses. If a driver competes at Hamilton County Speedway and wins at Mason City Motor Speedway, they receive a $1,000 bonus. If a driver can win both events, then they’ll receive a $2,000 bonus.
