FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Michael Page Another First Time Winner With The Southern All Stars

RACE RECAP: SENOIA, GA--The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by Max Fab made its first stop of the 2018 season at the Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA., and just like two weeks ago at Talladega Short Track when Austin Horton picked up his first Southern All Star win, Michael Page of Douglasville, GA., added his name to the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series record books as he got his first series win by holding off challenges from Shane Clanton and Aaron Ridley.  Both Clanton and Ridley made charges at Page for the top spot but could do nothing with him as his car was working on the top and bottom of the gumbo and Page used lapped traffic to his advantage and built up the lead over second and third to get his first win.  Behind that trio in fourth was another up and coming driver from Hampton, GA., in his best career Southern All Star finish. and that is Ashton Winger and Ross Bailes from Clover, SC., rounded out the top five.

Sixth place went to Clint Smith, seventh to Mason Massey who battled with Smith most of the final half of the race, eighth to Southern All Stars points leader jay Scott, ninth to Eric Hickerson and tenth to Larry Harrod in best run with the series so far this season,

RACE TIDBITS: Jay Scott of Fayetteville, TN., continues to lead the series standings, Mark Dodson of Caledonia, MS., is second third place Ray McElhiney of Pulaski, TN., dropped out early, Brad Skinner, Eric Hickerson, Joseph Faulkner, Kenny Collins are all moving up in the standings after this race.

Eric Hickerson of Linden, TN., was involved a crash on I-65 south of Birmingham, but were able to get to the track on time.

Jay Scott, Mark Dodson and Joseph Faulkner all made their first starts at Senoia.

Asphalt racing star Bubba Pollard made his second series start and did not fare well as he finished 14th.

Ronnie Johnson had a top five finish in the works till the car lost power ending his night.

Glad see Glenn Morris back at the track.

13 year old Payton Freeman of Commerce, GA., made his first career start with the series.

The next Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series event will be the first stop of the season at the North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL., and the Memorial Day Classic on Saturday night May 26th paying $4,000 to win...
