Southern All Star Michael Head Jr Memorial June 22nd At Senoia
FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab will be back in action this Saturday night for its second stop of the year at the Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA., for the Michael Head Jr Memorial paying $5,454 for the 54 lap race. Michael Page of Douglasville, GA., grabbed the win in 2018 to add his name to the winners list.
The Southern All Stars points battled coming into the 9th event of the year is the closest one in years as David Breazeale of Four Corners, MS., is the current points leader of a driver familiar to the fans in Senoia Zach Leonhardi of Cartersville, GA., who is also the leading Cruise with the Champions/Dirtondirt.com rookie leader and in third place is four time Southern All Star Champion Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., all three are within 16 points of each other. With Billy Franklin of Alabaster, AL., in fourth place and Andrew Littleton of Chatsworth, GA., fifth in points all these drivers are expected to be in action this weekend.
Other drivers from across the area that should be in competition include Mark Dodson of Caledonia, MS., Ashton Winger of Senoia, GA., Michael Page of Douglasville, GA., four time Southern All Star Champion Clint Smith of Senoia, GA., 2017 Southern All Star Champion Austin Horton of Newnan, GA., Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA., Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, GA., T J Reaid of Acworth, GA., plus many more.
The race will be the standard Southern All Star $4,000 to win purse with a bonus of $1,454 added to first place by local area sponsors for the 54 lap event.
Pit gates will open at 3pm, grandstand at 4pm and drivers meeting at 6pm with hot laps to follow.
