Southern All Stars Head To Thunderhill Raceway July 6th
FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series sponsored by Max Fab will look to try and make its first stop of the 2019 season Saturday night July 6th at the Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN., for the July 4th Spectacular 40 paying $4,000 to win.
The series has been fighting weather problems all year and the two races that were scheduled for Thunderhill earlier in the year have already been rained out, so hopefully this weekend the series will get to compete in its eighth race of the year. The series has enjoyed great racing and car counts so far in 2019 in the races that have run and this weekend should be no different as drivers will be looking to see if there will be an eight different winner or will somebody repeat with a win this year.
David Breazeale of Four Corners, MS., had the series points lead, but close behind are current Cruise with the Champions/Dirtondirt rookie of the year Zach Leonhardi of Cartersville, GA., and four time series champion Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., Billy Franklin of Alabaster, AL., is fourth and Andrew Littleton of Chatsworth, GA., is currently fifth and all are expected to be in competition.
Other regional drivers expected include Mark Dodson of Caledonia, MS., 2018 Southern All Star Champion Jay Scott of Fayetteville, TN, Ashton Winger of Senoia, GA., Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN., Josh Putnam of Florence, AL., David Earl Gentry of Lewisburg, TN., Dane Dacus of Lakewood, TN., plus many more.
Pit gates open at 3pm with drivers meeting and registration ending at 6pm and hot laps to follow.
