Southern All Stars Return To Thunderhill Saturday Night August 4th
FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series sponsored by Max Fab will be kicking off the month of August this Saturday night August 3rd at the Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN., for a 40 lap $4,000 to win super late model event. At the current moment the weather forecast looks favorable for a great night of racing as compared to the last race that the series held at the track, that got 38 of the 40 laps in before the rains came and ended the night.
Dane Dacus of Lakeland, TN., scored the win that night and will be one of the drivers that will be back to get the win along with current points leader David Breazeale, pf Four Corners, MS., Zach Leonhardi of Cartersville, GA., the current series Cruise with the Champions/Dirtondirt.com rookie of the year, four time Southern All Star Champion Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., Billy Franklin of Alabaster, Al., Mark Dodson of Caledonia, MS., Ashton Winger of Senoia, GA., Josh Putnam of Florence, AL., Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN., Tommy Taylor of Lascassas, TN., David Gentry of Murfreesboro, TN., Ray McElhiney of Pulaski, TN., Scott Cook of Shelbyville, TN., and Eric Hickerson of Linden, TN., just to name a few.
This will the 9th race of the season for the series as it has fought rains out all year long and that has back loaded the month of August with races and points battle is shaping up to one of the best in years as 16 points separate Breazeale, Leonhardi and Hickman in the battle for the title.
Pits will open at 3 pm with drivers meeting at 6pm and hot laps set for 6:30pm.
