Southern All Star Michael Head Jr Memorial August 24th
FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab will be back in action this Saturday night to try and do the earlier rained out Michael Head Jr Memorial at the Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA., paying $5,454 for the 54 lap race. The race got rained out in June this year and was rescheduled for this August 24th.
The Southern All Stars points battled coming into the 11th event of the year is the closest one in years as David Breazeale of Four Corners, MS., is the current points leader over four time Southern All Star Champion Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., local favorite Zach Leonhardi of Cartersville, GA., Billy Franklin of Alabaster, Al., and Mark Dodson of Caledonia, MS., all of who are going to be in action.
Michael Page of Douglasville, GA., has won the last three Southern All Star events at the 3/8ths mile gumbo and will be on hand to make it four in a row after he took his second straight win last week in the 2nd Annual Governors Cup at Talladega Short Track. Other drivers from across the area that should be in competition include Ashton Winger of Senoia, GA., four time Southern All Star Champion Clint Smith of Senoia, GA., 2017 Southern All Star Champion Austin Horton of Newnan, GA., T J Reaid of Acworth, GA., plus many more.
The race will be the standard Southern All Star $4,000 to win purse with a bonus of $1,454 added to first place by local area sponsors for the 54 lap event.
Pit gates will open at 3pm, grandstand at 4pm and drivers meeting at 6pm with hot laps to follow.
