RACE RECAPMadison, AL— 28 Super Late Model drivers showed up at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, TN Saturday night with one uninvited guest also showing up. Mother Nature showed up after hot laps were completed and the great fans hung around and was treated to 50 laps of spectacular racing.

Soon after the rain stopped the cars were called to the track for Sunoco Racing Fuels Qualifying. David Crabtree of Maryville, TN was the fastest in Group 1 and Dawsonville, GA Donald McIntosh took fastest in Group 2 and was fastest overall to a slick and fast 1/3rd mile clay surface.

The 24-car field got the green flag and Crabtree grabbed the lead with McIntosh in his tire tracks. Lap 7 saw 4-time series Champion Riley Hickman from Ooltewah, TN was battling for position, and his car hit the inside on turn 4 and immediately began barrel rolling and wound up on all 4 tires. Nicholasville, KY driver David Webb finished 2nd and Kingston. GA driver Tyler Millwood fresh off his Governors Cup win the week before finishing 3rd.
