Southern All Stars Set For Smoky Mt October 6th

FAYETTEVILLE, TN—The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series presented by MaxFab will return this Saturday night October 6th for the King of the Mountain/Fall Classic 50 paying $7,500 to win at the Smoky Mt Speedway in Maryville, TN.

This will be the third stop of the season at the 4/10ths mile high banked clay oval as Tommy Kerr took the win in the spring race and Michael Chilton took the win in the late summer event.  Now we are going to see who will be the 2018 winner Saturday night.

“Smoky Mt is one of our favorite tracks to go to” said GM Lynn Acklin.  “The track, facility and staff to work with make a great night of racing for the fans, drivers and everybody involved.”

Jay Scott of Fayetteville, TN., continues to be on top of the series standings with Mark Dodson and Ray McElhiney battling it of the second spot as they have swapped that position over the past few races. Fourth place is Eric Hickerson and fifth place is Joseph Faulkner all of who are expected to be in competition.

Other regional drivers expected include Kenny Collins of Colbert, GA., Riley Hickman of Ooltewah, TN., Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA., Dakotah Knuckles of Ewing, VA., Stacy Boles of Knoxville, TN., Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, GA., Shannon Buckingham, Robby Moses, Vic Hill, Cory Hedgecock, Tommy Kerr, David Crabtree, Dusty Carver and Ryan King plus many other.

Friday night will be a practice session from 6pm-9pm and then on Saturday pits gates open at 3 pm with drivers meeting set for 6:30 pm.
