FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 8, 2023 Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals and Southern Nationals Unveil 2024 Slate of Events (BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) As the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show starts its second day in Indianapolis, Indiana, series promoter Ray Cook is proud to unveil his schedules for the 2024 Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series and Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series, which are both presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco Race Fuels. The 11th edition of the Spring Nationals will feature fifteen events at fifteen different ovals in the states of Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia from February 29-May 26. The 20th version of the Southern Nationals will once again sanction twelve shows in only sixteen days across the states of West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina from July 12-27. Carson Ferguson, of Lincolnton, North Carolina, is the two-time and defending Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series Champion. The spring tour heats up with a first-ever visit to Waycross Motor Speedway in Waycross, Georgia on Thursday, February 29 before heading to Swainsboro Raceway, Senoia Raceway, I-75 Raceway, Tazewell Speedway, Buckshot Speedway, East Alabama Motor Speedway, Ponderosa Speedway, Lake Cumberland Speedway, Sugar Creek Raceway, Dixie Speedway, Natural Bridge Speedway, Beckley Motor Speedway, North Georgia Speedway, and Duck River Raceway Park. The 2024 Spring Nationals Series Champion will once again be awarded a $10,053 payday. Eleven of the fifteen Spring Nationals contests will pay at least $10,053 to win, while two shows will shell out over $20,000. For the fourth straight year, the Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee on Saturday, March 30 will boast a $21,000 first place prize. Beckley Motor Speedway in Mount Hope, West Virginia will host their inaugural Spring Nationals event, which will be the $20,053 to win Beckley USA 100 on Saturday, May 11. In all, over $535,000 in prize money will be up for grabs during the 2024 Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series. Newport, Tennessee superstar Jimmy Owens captured his first career Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series Championship last season. The barnstorming twelve-race summer series once again starts at Beckley Motor Speedway on Friday, July 12 before visiting Wythe Raceway, Volunteer Speedway, I-75 Raceway, Senoia Raceway, East Alabama Motor Speedway, Screven Motor Speedway, Swainsboro Raceway, Cherokee Speedway, Toccoa Raceway, North Georgia Speedway, and Tazewell Speedway. Another $10,053 Championship check is in store for the winner of the 2024 Southern Nationals Series. Half of the twelve series races will pay at least $10,053 to the winner, while the other six shows will be $7,553 to win. For the twentieth straight season, the tour will conclude its points campaign at the high-banked Tazewell Speedway. This time; however, the stakes have never been higher. The winner of the Ray Varner Ford 53 at “The Taz” on Saturday, July 27 will take home a whopping $20,053 winner’s check.
