Cla Knight Races to First-Career Ultimate Super Late Model Series Victory
Pockets $4,000 for Emotional Lancaster Speedway Triumph

North Augusta, South Carolina (05/03/21) – Cla Knight scratched an item off the bucket list over the weekend. The South Carolina racer topped Saturday night’s Ultimate Southeast Super Late Model Series feature at Lancaster Speedway.

Not only did it mark his first-career Ultimate Super Late Series victory, but it also marked his first-career Super Late Model win aboard his E-Z-GO No. 42 Augusta Aquatics / M&W Transport / Barry Wright Race Car / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

“We’re just a small team, you know?” Knight said in victory lane. “We’re trying to make it and I’m trying to do the best I can and we’re just real excited to get one. We enjoyed success in the Crate Late Model division, but it’s been a major adjustment with the Super Late Model. To get this first win in the Super… it just allows me to finally feel some accomplishment, and hopefully this is the first of many wins to come.

“While we’ve faced our fair share of adversity in the Super Late Model division, my family, my team and my sponsors have never doubted me, and that has meant the world to me. This win is dedicated to them.”

Cla Knight returned to action with the Ultimate Southeast Series on Friday evening at Laurens County Speedway (Laurens, S.C.) in the Ronnie Brookshire Memorial. In a field of 17 cars, Cla laid down the eighth-fastest time in qualifying, which positioned him eighth on the starting grid for the $4,014-to-win A-Main. Clawing forward one spot in the 40-lap affair, Knight recorded a seventh-place outing.

The following night at Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, S.C.), Knight locked into the second-starting position for the A-Main via his qualifying effort. Inheriting the lead from early pacesetter Zack Mitchell on lap 20, Cla led the remainder of the 40-lapper to record his first career Super Late Model victory over Ben Watkins, Jeff Smith, Ross Bailes, and Kenny Collins. He pocketed $4,000 for his maiden trip to Victory Lane in the Super Late Model division.

Cla is currently tied for second in the Ultimate Southeast Series point standings, just eight points removed from the top spot, and leads the series’ Rookie of the Year battle.

Full results from these events as well as the latest series standings are available at www.UltimateSupers.com .

Cla will be back on the road with the Ultimate Southeast Series this weekend with a Saturday trip to South Carolina’s Cherokee Speedway for the $5,000-to-win, Big Chief Forty. He’ll be looking for his second straight win as well as to make up ground in the series’ championship battle.

Cla Knight Racing would like to say a very special “thank you” to the following sponsors for their continued support: Augusta Aquatics, M&W Transport, E-Z Go Golf Carts, Town & Country Packing, Clements Racing Engines, Barry Wright Race Cars, KAR House Racing Radiators, Maxxis Kart Racing, Behrents Performance Warehouse, Penske Racing Shocks, Brian’s Kustom Paint, FK Rod Ends, Schoenfeld Headers, and MSR Mafia Marketing & PR Services.

Gregory Ready to Rumble at Revolution Park Speedway

Inside Line Promotions - WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (May 3, 2021) - Paxton Gregory is planning to head to Louisiana this weekend for an ASCS regional showdown.

The No. 3 Paxton Gregory Racing 360ci sprint car will compete on Saturday at Revolution Park Speedway in Monroe, where Gregory is aiming to earn his first top five of the year after he pocketed his first top 10 last weekend.

Gregory has competed a couple of times in the last few weeks with his most recent race occurring last Saturday at Riverside International Speedway. He finished where he started in both a heat race - third - and the A Main - ninth. It marked his best result of the season.

He also raced on April 17 at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss., where Gregory was relegated to a 13th-place finish because of a brake failure. Before the brakes went out 10 laps into the feature, Gregory noted the rain that had plagued the area all week created a totally different track characteristic than what it normally is like.

"Passing was at a premium as the track was rough and hard to maneuver around other cars," he said. "We had a good draw in our heat race and won after starting on the outside of the front row. That put us in the feature redraw and we started the main event fifth, but it was short-lived since we battled the brake problem."

Gregory now turns his attention to the track known as "The Rev" and said he likes his chances during the event that is co-sanctioned by the ASCS Mid-South Region and ASCS Lone Star Region.

Gregory made an appearance there late last season. He started 15 th and clawed his way to finish sixth at the 3/8-mile dirt oval. The 21-year-old said he has a lot of confidence going into a track where he has had success at in the past.

"I'm looking forward to going in there this weekend and having a good run," he said. "I know we're capable of having a good run there and starting some momentum. If I can keep the car in one piece, I have a car underneath me that is capable of a podium finish if not a win."

April 17 - Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss. - Heat race: 1 (2); Feature: 13 (5).

ST. HELENA, Calif. (May 3, 2021) - For the second consecutive weekend, Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing hit the road the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, this time following the Greatest Show On Dirt to Illinois and Missouri for a three-day, three-race stretch at Jacksonville Speedway on April 29, as well as I-70 Motorsports Park on April 30-May 1.

Despite capping his tripleheader outside of the top-ten, scored 19th during the second night of action at I-70, the St. Helena, California-native kicked-off his weekend with a bang, first nailing down a top-five performance on the bullring at Jacksonville, then scoring a top-ten during night one at I-70. The top-five, accomplished from the inside of row three, involved some perseverance, as the eight-time Outlaw winner faded early before recovering to finish fifth.

Ultimately bumping his top-ten count to 14 on the season, Abreu’s top-ten at I-70 Motorsports Park resulted in a ninth-place outcome after starting eighth. It proved to be a solid ending to a consistent evening in western Missouri, as Abreu kicked-off the program with the 11th-fastest time during qualifying time trials, all before finishing third during his respective heat.

“Hats off to my team for never giving up. It’s been a pretty up and down year for my guys, but they never give up. That’s what it takes to be successful; never giving up when things are down. We’ll spend some quality time in the shop this week and get this Rowdy Energy car ready for Eldora,” Rico Abreu said, who owns eight top-five finishes in 23 starts thus far in 2021. “It’s going to be a fun weekend. I’m excited to get there.”

Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with the #LetsRaceTwo doubleheader at Eldora Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 7-8. Each night will award $10,000 top prizes.

2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Sixth | 2394 points [198 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (May 3, 2021) - On an upward trend, ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, put together an impressive stretch of performances during his recent weekend of competition, ultimately ending his three-day, three-race campaign through the Midwest with a pair of top-five finishes, one of which a podium result.

Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Carquest Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Sage Fruit/Digital Ally/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car, earned his top-five appearance during action at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois, on Thursday, April 29. Lining up eighth on the main event grid, Schatz was an obvious threat from the start, eventually battling his way to second before throwing a late race slider on race leader, Brad Sweet.

Utilizing a green-white-checkered restart, Schatz got a run on Sweet and took command briefly, but the two-time and defending World of Outlaws champion returned the favor and reclaimed the top spot as the white flag was shown.
Following his Jacksonville visit, Schatz spent two days at the recently revamped I-70 Motorsports Park in Odessa, Missouri, eventually cashing in for a 12th-place score on Friday, April 30, followed by a fifth-place result on Saturday, May 1. Impressive enough, Schatz’ drive to fifth commenced from row six, occupying the 12th starting spot before setting aim forward.

“You gotta crawl before you can walk, and you gotta walk before you can run,” Schatz noted. “My Carquest, Ford Performance guys are doing great. We’ve been getting better and that’s all you can ask for. We reset and went back to square one, so now we’re building ourselves back up again. Times change, people change, and we’re changing with it. I’m gonna keep doing what I’ve been doing for the past 25 years here.”

Donny Schatz will continue his quest toward an 11th World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship with the two-day #LetsRaceTwo blockbuster at Eldora Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 7-8. A venue that goes hand-in-hand with Schatz’ earned successes, the Fargo, North Dakota-native will chase a pair of $10,000 top prizes during #LetsRaceTwo weekend, as well as WoO win number 300.

Filling the seat for Tony Stewart, San Jose, California’s Tim Kaeding powered the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/No. 14 sprint car during the World of Outlaws events at Jacksonville and I-70. Kicking-off his weekend in a big way, Kaeding finished seventh at Jacksonville after starting 15th, following up his top-ten in Illinois with 11th and 12th-place finishes at I-70, respectively.
