Logan Roberson Sets His Sights on a Full Plate in ‘18
Four Titles on Virginia Driver’s Radar

Waynesboro, Virginia (02/20/18) – After a rough-and-tumble start to the season, Logan Roberson now has his sights set on an ambitious 2018 campaign.

“It’s no secret that luck hasn’t been on our side to start the year, but we are now focused on turning 2018 into our best season ever,” Roberson commented. “While it’s been a pretty disheartening first few races, we see the big picture and know that the season hasn’t really even started yet.”

Roberson had a tumultuous start to the season during the annual Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park. On the second night of the event, Logan endured a hard crash in his Wynbridge Inc. #17 BTS Towing Service/ XR1 Rocket Chassis. The 20-year-old racer was extricated from his car and transported to the hospital. Luckily, he was diagnosed with no serious injuries and released the next day.

With a banged-up driver and a torn-up racecar the team headed home.

After making repairs the team returned to action this past Saturday night at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) for the FASTRAK Racing Series-sanctioned Winter Freeze. In a field of 36 cars, Roberson logged a fifth-place finish in his heat race, which relegated him to the B-Main.

Sending the Top-4 finishers into the big show, Logan captured a consolation victory, locking him into the 17th-starting position for the feature. With $3,000 on the line, Roberson improved three spots to finish 14th.

While Roberson is currently gearing up for the upcoming weekend’s NeSmith Late Model Series events at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida), he’s also focused on the post Speedweeks season.

“This year we are looking to win even more races than last year and lock down multiple championships,” Roberson commented. “We have our sights set on claiming the track titles at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Virginia) and Potomac Speedway (Budd’s Creek, Maryland). Past that we want to repeat as the RUSH Weekly Series Champion and we want to win the RUSH Summer Chase Championship. I know it’s a tall order, but I know we can accomplish all of these goals if we set our minds to it.”

Logan Roberson would like to thank his marketing partners, which include Wynbridge Inc., Cecil B. Arthur Beef Farm & Bucking Stock, Pancho’s Racing Products, BTS Towing Service, Blue Ridge Treescape Service, Dirt Defender, Walker Arthur Racing, Beyea Custom Headers, Boyd Bilt, QA1, Keyser Manufacturing, All About Wraps, Rocket Chassis, Race 1, Kaylor’s Dirt Track Cams, Russ King Racing, Hoosier Tire by Terry Wilcher, Smiley’s Racing Enterprises, and MSRMafia.com Marketing Services.

Sides Aiming for Smooth Weekend in Texas With World of Outlaws

Inside Line Promotions - GIBSONTON, Fla. (Feb. 19, 2018) - Jason Sides is seeking a smooth weekend as he returns to World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series competition this Friday and Saturday in Texas.

Sides will compete on Friday at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige and on Saturday at LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore for the East Texas LoneStar Shootout.

"Our debut at Cotton Bowl Speedway in 2016 was follow the leader without much passing and when we ran at LoneStar Speedway last year we were caught up in a crash," he said. "Hopefully we can have a couple of good nights this weekend and get back on the right track."

Sides was hampered by mechanical issues last weekend during the Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360s at East Bay Raceway Park.

The tripleheader began on Thursday when Sides placed fifth in a heat race before he won a B Main to transfer into the 17th starting position for the 25-lap A Main.

"We were really good early in the feature," he said. "We picked up a few spots in the first couple of laps and were battling for a top 10 most of the race."

Unfortunately, a mechanical problem sent the team pitside with only four laps remaining while running 10th. Sides was credited with a 23 rd-place result.

The team changed engines prior to Friday's show to a 23-year-old engine Sides has relied on sparingly. Sides placed sixth in a heat race, second in a B main and 17th in the main event.

The weekend wrapped up on Saturday with Sides finishing fifth in a heat race to miss locking into the A Main by only one position. However, late in the race the engine developed a problem that was unable to be fixed and Sides was forced to scratch from the remainder of the event.

"We certainly didn't get the results out of the weekend like we wanted, but it's always a great weekend to spend down there with Kimball Wetherington and some of the people from Wetherington Tractor Service, Inc., as well as all of our fans and friends in that part of the country," he said. "Now we'll shift gears back to World of Outlaws competition in Texas before we head to the West Coast for a few weeks."

Bergman Set for Debut at Southern Raceway This Weekend With USCS Series

Inside Line Promotions - GIBSONTON, Fla. (Feb. 20, 2018) - Seth Bergman will make his debut at Southern Raceway this weekend with the USCS Series.

Bergman is slated to tackle the 3/8-mile oval in Milton, Fla., on Friday and Saturday, and he's looking to top his best USCS Series finish of second place, which he recorded in Florida earlier this month.

"We pride ourselves on being able to adapt to new tracks quickly and be contenders out of the box," he said. "It will be a challenge, but one we're looking forward to facing."

Bergman competed last weekend at East Bay Raceway Park during the Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360s. Unfortunately, a broken header hampered the team on Thursday during the opening round of the three-day event.

Bergman placed sixth in both a heat race and a B Main as his night ended early. He returned to the bullring on Friday, advancing from eighth to seventh place in a heat race before winning a B Main after starting third.

"We made some changes every time we went out and really hit on something in that B Main," he said. "That was probably the best the car we had all weekend."

Bergman claimed the consolation race by nearly half a lap and he carried that momentum into the 25-lap A Main. Bergman maneuvered toward the top 10, but a broken power steering line with four laps remaining resulted in a DNF.

The event finale on Saturday didn't start any better as a fellow competitor spun out in front of the field on the opening lap of a heat race. Bergman dove low to avoid the melee, but the driver made contact with Bergman, whose car flipped. He was unable to resume the race and was forced to scratch from the B Main.

"It's one of those weekends where you put it behind you and look forward," he said. "Our focus is on being a contender on Friday at Southern Raceway and then doing the same thing there on Saturday."
