The win by Payne would his first with both series in 2018 and would make his second career victory in the Buddy Rogers Memorial and would come aboard his Gibson Motorsports, Payne Excavating, Interstate Welding, PPM, American Racer, Base Racing Fuel, Schaeffer’s Oil sponsored #8 Capital Race Car, Jay Dickens Race Engines powered entry. Flanary’s victory in the Modified portion of the event would be his first tour victory of the season and came behind the wheel of his FAST Trucking, Casva Angus Farm, NAPA of West Liberty, Custom Suspensions, Will Kinzer Foundation for Autism Research, Auto Body Specialists sponsored #98 MB Customs Chassis entry.

The Super Late Model portion of the program would see outside polesitter Casey Roberts take the lead at the start of the event, with Vic Hill, Chad Ogle, David Payne, and Dakotah Knuckles in pursuit. The front-five would remain the same as Roberts began lapping slower traffic on lap seven, while Payne began to challenge Ogle for the third position, with Payne finally able to grab the third position on lap fourteen. Roberts would continue his quick pace at the front when the first caution of the event waved when Kenneth Howell slowed in turn two. The restart would see Roberts maintain the lead, while Payne would work past Hill for the second spot, with Knuckles taking fourth from Ogle on the same circuit. The front trio of Roberts, Payne, and Hill would battle as the race neared the halfway mark when the caution appeared again on lap 22 as the sixth through eighth place running machines of Chicky Barton, Brian Smith, and Jeff Neubert would tangle in turn one, with Neubert done for the event. The restart would see the front three again mix it up for those spots, with Payne starting to work the middle and bottom of the track in an effort to grab the lead from Roberts, with Hill right there ready to pounce if someone made a mistake. The lead group would start lapping slower traffic on lap thirty-one and Payne would repeatedly challenge Roberts for the lead. With forty laps complete, Barton would get out of shape entering turn one and make contact with the outside retaining wall and spin back around, resulting in the final caution of the race, with Roberts barely making contact with Barton’s spinning machine. The end result would be Roberts’ mount would suffer a flat right-rear tire and he would head to the work area and not return. Payne would inherit the lead at this point and hold off Hill over the final four laps to score the victory, with Hill finishing second, and Knuckles claiming third. Ogle would come home fourth, while Tommy Bailey would complete the top five. The remainder of the top ten finishers would be Todd Coffman, Clyde Overholt, Aaron Guinn, Brian Smith, and Joey Standridge.

The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified feature contest would see Shon Flanary take the lead at the drop of the green flag and lead the entire way in the twenty-lap event, that would only be slowed by one caution. Flanary would open up a comfortable lead, however, Don Adams would close on Flanary in the waning laps of the event, but Flanary would prove to be better on this evening and Flanary would take the win, with Adams settling for second. Clayton Miller would finish in the third position, while Kelly Riggs and Wayne James would complete the top five. The remainder of the finishing order would be Blake Brown, Jimmy Crabtree, Billy Palmer, Jody Puckett, and Tyler James.
