Schaeffer’s Oil Spring, Southern & Fall Nationals Series Release 2019 Race Schedules

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 7, 2018)—The 2019 schedules for the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series, the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series and the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series were revealed on Friday Morning during the 31st Annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show in Indianapolis, Ind. Total purses, points funds and nightly bonuses are nearly $900,000 for the three Ray Cook-promoted tours while remaining the original premier set of regional racing series in the United States.
The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee R.V. two-week tour will be entering its 15th season. Cherokee (SC) Speedway returns to the schedule for the first time since 2010 paying $10,000-to-win on Sunday July 14th. Five events out of the eleven pay $10,000-to-win. 411 Motor Speedway will be the second to final event on the schedule paying $10,000-to-win. The 2019 Champion will receive $5,053 for his efforts. Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga. is the defending series champion.
The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee R.V. will be entering the seventh season of competition in 2019. The series features eight new tracks including Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Pooler, Ga., Cochran Motor (GA) Speedway, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., Blue Ridge (GA) Motorsports Park, Toccoa (GA) Raceway, Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tenn., Clay Valley Speedway in Coeburn, Va. and 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tenn. The Series will have at least one $10,000-to-win event on each of the six weekend events. The tour champion will receive $5,053. The 411 Motor Speedway event on May 27 will be co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series. Eric Wells of Hazard, Ky. is the defending series champion.
On the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee R.V., which is beginning its first full season of competition, features scheduled dates from August until November with a couple of TBA dates. The Tazewell Speedway event on September 1 will be co-sanctioned with the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series. The series schedule is highlighted by four-$10,000-to-win events. David Payne of Murphy, N.C. is the defending Bonus Series points champion. The Bonus Series now becomes the Fall Nationals.
