Blake Spencer to Embark on 2019 WoO Late Model Series Rookie Chase

St. Augustine, Florida (12/03/18) – Florida’s Blake Spencer will be venturing into new territory in 2019. The driver of the Bozard Ford #6 Revolution Racing/ Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Durham Racing Engines Super Late Model will be tackling the Rookie of the Year chase with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Late Model Series.

“In 2018 we raced in pretty much all of the series events for the first few months of the season to get a feel for some of the tracks. Then throughout the year we entered various series races to get more experience,” the 38-year-old Spencer said. “I’m still learning the Super Late Model ranks, so I know it will be a big challenge for us to follow the full tour. I’m very excited to be able to have this opportunity and want to thank all of the sponsors and supporters of my program.”

The 2019 WoO campaign opens on February 8-9 at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) with the annual Winter Freeze. The doubleheader will be highlighted by a pair of $10,000-to-win feature events. From there the tour moves to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) on February 13, 15 and 16 for a trio of $10,000-to-win affairs, which will be held during the annual DIRTcar Nationals at the sprawling, ½-mile oval.

“It will be nice to start the season at a pair of tracks, where I have some experience,” Spencer said. “I’ll be seeing several tracks for the first time this year, so I know that the learning curve will be steep.”
