Talladega and Senoia up Next for Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series March 29-30

BRASSTOWN, NC (March 24, 2019)—Rounds Three and Four of the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels will take place in Alabama and Georgia this weekend.

After a successful opening weekend at Oglethorpe and Cochran, the Spring Nationals travelers will roll into the historic Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala. for the first time ever on Friday Night March 29th paying $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start.

Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Ga. will host the series for the sixth-ever time on Saturday Night March 30th as the Spring Nationals roll in racing 60 laps for $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start. There have been five previous winners at Senoia Raceway including: Scott Bloomquist and Dale McDowell (2018), Michael Page and Donald McIntosh (2017) and Jonathan Davenport in 2016.

On Thursday March 28th, there will be an open practice at Talladega Short Track in the evening hours with $20.00 pit passes and free admission in the stands for practice laps.

On Friday March 29th at Talladega Short Track, the Red Clay 602 Series, the Crate Late Models, the Open Wheel Modifieds and Hot Shots will all be in action. Adult general admission is $20 while adult pit passes are $35.00. The most recent Talladega Short Track winner was Dallas Cooper on March 23rd as he went to victory lane over Dillon Tidmore, Mike McConnell, Jason Lively and Mason Massey. All of these drivers plus the Spring Nationals travels and other regional drivers will do battle on Friday March 29th racing for $4,000-to-win. At Talladega, the pits and stands will open at 4:00 pm and the drivers meeting will be at 7:00 with hot laps to follow. All times are Central.

On Saturday March 30th at Senoia Raceway, the Super Late Models will race for $10,000-to-win while the Crate Late Models, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby, Bombers and Chargers will all be in action. Adult general admission is $25.00 while adult pit passes and trackside tickets are $35.00. At Senoia, the pits will open at 3:00 pm, the stands will open at 5:00 pm and the drivers meeting will be at 6:00 with hot laps to follow.

In the first two series events, Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga. captured the season opener at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Pooler, Ga on Friday March 22nd worth $4,000 while Chris Ferguson of Mt. Holly, N.C. took the $10,000 payday on Saturday March 23rd at Cochran Motor Speedway.

The tire rule for the Talladega/Senoia weekend is as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600 along with the American Racer 48 and 56 compounds.
