Tyler Stevens Tops Crate Late Model Action at The Rev
Greenville Speedway’s Gumbo Nationals Up Next

Searcy, Arkansas (09/21/20) – For the first time since 2009, Modified standout Tyler Stevens visited Victory Lane in the Dirt Late Model division. Stevens piloted his Stallion Transportation Group No. 2 Level 1 Driving Academy/ W&W Timber / XR1 Rocket Chassis entry to a sweep of Crate Late Model action during the Hooked Up weekend at Louisiana’s Dirt on the Rev.

“Weekends like this make the hard work worth it. We set fast time, won our heat and then led every lap of the feature, and were finally able to capitalize on the speed we have had,” Stevens said. “Winning against the cars we did last night is huge. Thanks so much to everyone, who supports our program and makes it happen.”

Arkansas’ traveler Tyler Stevens trekked south over the weekend to compete in the Hooked Up event at Dylan Scott’s Dirt on the Rev (Monroe, Louisiana). Tyler took his Stallion Transportation Group / W&W Timber No. 2 Rocket XR1 into battle against a talented field of 35 Crate Late Models.

Stevens set fast time in his qualifying group and then won his heat race on Friday night to earn the pole position for Saturday evening’s $2,000-to-win finale.
When the feature came to life on Saturday, Tyler jumped to the lead and never looked back, leading all 25 circuits at the 3/8-mile oval en route to his first Late Model win since the 2009 season.
The team will be idle this coming weekend before returning to action on October 1-3 during the 15th annual Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi), where Stevens will pursue a $3,000 top prize in the Crate Late Model division.
