Memphis, Tennessee (06/24/19) – Howard Moore piloted the Rains Motorsports No. 3 High Performance Lubricants Sprint Car to the Stealth Recovery American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Mid-South Region win on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway.

Moore made a late-race charge to claim his second victory of the 2019 campaign. The win marked his first with Rains Motorsports.

"I feel like I threw the first half of the race away by making some mistakes as well as battling issues, like having a huge dirt clod under my gas pedal that I finally stomped away," Moore commented. "I knew if I was going to win that I was going to have to get focused quickly because I was running out of laps. I don't even know what lap I took the lead."

"Thanks again to A.G. [Rains] for allowing me to drive his awesome car. I can't begin to express my gratitude to the entire Rains Motorsports team for providing me with this great opportunity. Also, thanks to Mike Ward, Chad Jones, Ricky Holder, Kayle Stewart, Chris Chappue and dad for helping me throughout the night."

With 23 drivers in attendance, Howard stormed from the fifth-starting spot in his heat race to a runner-up finish. His performance made him the high point's driver, which sent him to the redraw.

The redraw presented Moore with the fourth-starting spot for the feature.

After seeing the initial start waved off, the race finally went green on the second attempt. During the first half of the race, Howard battled both fierce competition as well as a dirt
clod under his gas pedal. However, as the race progressed, he began passing cars before ultimately taking the lead late in the race. Howard went on to record the victory, which came over Wayne Johnson, Miles Paulus, Tim Crawley and Kyle Bellm.

Full results from the event are available at www.I-30Speedway.com .

Howard now prepares for a busy stretch of racing with the United Sprint Car Series (USCS) Outlaw Thunder Tour. Stewart experiences tough luck during Ohio Sprint Speedweek

Dates: Friday, June 14th - Saturday, June 22nd
Event: 37th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek
Series: All Star Circuit of Champions
Tracks Visited: Attica Raceway Park, Muskingum County Speedway, Wayne County Speedway
Tony Stewart Finishes (Start):
Attica Raceway Park (June 14th): A-Main - 26th (3rd)
Muskingum County Speedway (June 16th): A-Main - 24th (5th)
Wayne County Speedway (June 22nd): B-Main - 15th (4th)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 24, 2019) - The 2019 edition of Cometic Gasket Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Indy Metal Finishing was a frustrating experience for three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and recent NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, Tony Stewart, forced to not only deal with poor weather, which was responsible for the loss of four nights of competition, but also forced to deal with poor luck, ultimately ending his three-race stretch with a trio of ‘DNF’ finishes.

Stewart, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Rush Truck Centers/Toco Warranty/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/Absolute Automation & Security/No. 14 sprint car, visited Attica Raceway Park, Muskingum County Speedway and Wayne County Speedway, respectively, during his Ohio Sprint Speedweek venture.

“It was a frustrating week for our team, especially considering how much speed we’ve shown this year,” Tony Stewart expressed. “It’s one of those deals. Sometimes, things don’t go your way and your forced to deal with it. All we can do now is look ahead and prepare for a long weekend in Central Pennsylvania. Hopefully we find some nice weather, as well as some momentum, to help us get moving in the right direction.”

A spin while battling within the top-five at Attica on June 14 eventually resulted in an early retirement for Stewart. Unfortunately, bad luck continued during his visit to Muskingum County Speedway on Sunday, June 16, once again forced to retire early while battling for a top-five finish. Mechanical issues were the culprit a Muskingum; Smoke was scored 24th.

Stewart’s Ohio Sprint Speedweek campaign came to a close on Saturday, June 22, at Wayne County Speedway just outside of Orrville. Although the overall outcome was the same, the scenario was different, this time getting caught up in a mess while racing for a transfer spot during the evening’s B-main; Stewart was scored 15th.

With the intent to defeat the infamous Pennsylvania Posse, Tony Stewart will venture to the Keystone State during the coming week, set to take part in most of the Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek schedule which commences Friday night, June 28, at Williams Grove Speedway. Although Stewart plans to enter most, if not all of the Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek dates, the team will still evaluate plans day by day.

Schatz finishes seventh during Beaver Dam Raceway visit

Date: Saturday, June 22nd
Event: Jim "JB" Boyd Memorial presented by Karavan Trailers
Series: World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Track: Beaver Dam Raceway (Beaver Dam, Wis.)
Donny Schatz A-Main Finish (Start): 7th (5th)

2019 World of Outlaws Championship Standings: 2nd - 4008 points (54 points behind Brad Sweet)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 24, 2019) - With Mother Nature erasing all hope for competition on Sunday night at Dubuque Speedway in Dubuque, Iowa, it was a one stop weekend for ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, joining the Greatest Show On Dirt at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis., on Saturday, June 22.

Despite an abrasive racing surface ultimately limiting activity during the later stages of the World of Outlaws main event, Schatz held strong and finished seventh, bumping his 2019 top-ten total to 25. Impressive enough, Schatz’ 25 top-ten appearances occurred during 29 World of Outlaws starts.

Although settling for seventh at the final checkers, Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Toco Warranty/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/Absolute Automation & Security/No. 15 sprint car, was battling as high as fourth in the running order before fading just outside of the top five.

“Not exactly the weekend we were looking for. I think the speed is there, we just need to capitalize,” Donny Schatz expressed following his Beaver Dam results. “We have a big weekend coming up. We know our way around Jackson Motorplex. We proved that last year. I think if we can put all of the pieces together early in the weekend, we’ll be up front on Saturday night.”

Up next on the schedule, Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart Racing will venture to the Land of 10,000 Lakes, aiming for big money that will be up for grabs during a three-day stay at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota. The three-day Jackson Nationals program will award $10,000 top prizes on Thursday and Friday, June 27 & 28, all of which capped off with a $41,000-to-win main event on Saturday, June 29. Donny Schatz is the defending Jackson Nationals champion, scoring $40,000 during the 2018 edition.

Abreu ends Ohio Sprint Speedweek campaign with back-to-back top-fives; Pennsylvania bound!

Dates: Friday, June 14th - Saturday, June 22nd
Event: 37th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek
Series: All Star Circuit of Champions
Tracks Visited: Attica Raceway Park, Muskingum County Speedway, Wayne County Speedway
Rico Abreu Finishes (Start):
Attica Raceway Park (June 14th): C-Main - DNS
Muskingum County Speedway (June 16th): B-Main - 6th (11th)
Wayne County Speedway (June 19th): A-Main - 3rd (5th)
Wayne County Speedway (June 22nd): A-Main - 5th (8th)

ST. HELENA, Calif. (June 24, 2019) - Although his 2019 Ohio Sprint Speedweek campaign launched with a rocky start, missing A-main competition at Attica Raceway Park and Muskingum County Speedway on Friday and Sunday, June 14 & 16, respectively, St. Helena, California’s Rico Abreu rounded in a hurry, capping off the nine-day turned four-race schedule with back-to-back top-five performances, one of which a podium run - a third place finish - during action at Wayne County Speedway on Wednesday, June 19.

In fact, each of Abreu’s Ohio Sprint Speedweek top-five performances occurred during action at Wayne County Speedway, the second taking shape during the $10,000-to-win Speedweek finale on Saturday, June 22; Abreu advanced from eighth to finish fifth.

Although missing main event action at Muskingum County Speedway on June 16, it was not from a lack of effort. In actuality, Abreu was in a main event transfer position during his respective heat race when a cut tire forced Abreu to stop before the checkers. An 11th place starting position in the evening’s B-main proved to be too much to overcome. Still, Abreu charged to sixth in 12 laps.
At Attica Raceway Park on Friday, Abreu was involved in a ‘nowhere to go’ incident during his respective heat race, ultimately forcing the recent Peter Murphy Classic champion to load up and scratch for the night.

By week’s end, Mother Nature was responsible for four Ohio Sprint Speedweek cancellations or postponements.

“It was a fun week. At first, we were a little frustrated with how things were turning out. It gets aggravating when you know you have the speed to perform well. We just couldn’t get things to fall our way,” Rico Abreu said, driver of the Rico Abreu/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Abreu Vineyards/Curb Records/Lucas Oil Products/Southern Pacific Farms/Priority Aviation/Self Made Racing/Dancer Logistics/No. 24 sprint car. “Lucky for me, I surround myself with great people and hard workers. Their perseverance really showed this week and I am proud of their efforts.”

With little time to rest, Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu Racing will begin preparations for a different edition of Speedweek, this time joining the infamous Pennsylvania Posse during Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek competition, which ignites, officially, on Friday, June 28, at Williams Grove Speedway. Abreu will hop on the Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek trail beginning Monday, July 1. Prior obligations in California will keep Abreu from participating in the first three rounds.
