Woodstock, GA - The Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series will head into

the Championship weekend over the Labor Day Holiday weekend with stops at two of the most historic speedway's in dirt track racing, that are owned and operated by one of the most influential families, in the industry, The Swims. 

The first stop will take the series to the "Home of the Champions" Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA for a Saturday night $2,000 to win, 30 lap "Down in Dixie 30" event which will also include a Full Racing Program, HUGE Fireworks display, and Demolition Derby.

Then, the series will make the short trip to "The World's

Fastest Half Mile Clay Track" Rome Speedway in Rome, GA where competitors will take part in the LARGEST paying event in series history in the Hoosier Race Tire South 100 Presented by Sunoco Race Fuels that will pay a record $10,000 to win for the 100 lap affair. Along with the 100 lap, $10,000 to win event fans will also be treated to a HUGE Coca-Cola Fireworks Display, Full Racing Program, and ROME Boss feature.

The weekend is full of entertainment and excitement, but the point's battle for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model National Championship is going to go down to the wire and be settled over the Double Header weekend as well. A mere 34 points separates the top 6 drivers for the $10,000 National Championship. 2016 Cruise with the Champions Rookie of the Year Austin Smith of Rome, GA holds a 2 point lead over 2016 NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series Champion Cory Hedgecock. Third place, just 6 points back, is Florida's Devin Dixon, followed by another Rome, GA driver, Jake Knowles in fourth just 20 points back. Fifth and Sixth in points are in a tie, just 34 points behind the leader, as Cruise with The Champions Rookie of the Year Candidates Zach Pilcher of Rome and Seymour, TN driver Ryan King battle to keep their Championship and Rookie of the Year hopes alive.

It all kicks off Saturday night September 2nd with the "Down In Dixie 30" and Family Fun Night at Dixie Speedway, located at 150 Dixie Drive, Woodstock, GA. Pit Gates will open at 4 P.M. Grandstand Gates open at 5 P.M. with Racing at 7:30 P.M.(all times are Eastern).

Then it comes down to the Championship Showdown on Sunday night September 3rd

at Rome Speedway, located at 1933 Chulio Road, Rome, GA for the Hoosier Race Tire South 100 Presented by Sunoco Race Fuels $10,000 to win, 100 lap Main Event. Gates will open at 4 P.M. Grandstand Gates Open at 5 P.M. with Racing at 7:30 P.M. (all times are Eastern).
