Cave City, Arkansas (03/14/18) – On Saturday night Jeff Taylor enjoyed the spoils of Victory Lane for the first in 2018. He raced to the win in the finale of the Southern Stampede at Southern Oklahoma Speedway.
“We weren’t very good early in the night, but we had an awesome hot rod in the feature,” Taylor noted. “I just want to thank Spencer and Tiff Wilson for letting me drive their race car. It meant a lot to get a win for them.”

Friday night brought Jeff Taylor to Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma), where he was piloting the Spencer Wilson-owned #755 Taylor Chassis Open Wheel Modified for the opening round of the two-day Southern Stampede.

In a field of 40 cars, Taylor fell one spot in his heat race logging a third-place finish. Finishing third in his B-Main, Jeff earned the 19th-starting position for the opening night $800-to-win feature. Wheeling his way into a podium spot, Jeff passed 17 cars, reeling in a runner-up finish behind Brad Dohtery.

Returning on Saturday night, Jeff dropped four spots in his heat race to place fifth. Taylor moved onto the B-Main to take another shot at qualifying for the main event. He captured the 12-lap consolation victory, positioning him 13th on the starting grid for the A-Main.

Outrunning the 24-car field, Jeff Taylor streaked to his first win of the season and a $1,200 payday. Nick Roberts, William Gould, Jeffrey Abbey, and Drew Armstrong completed the Top-5 finishers in the 21-lap affair.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime deal," he said. "I need to make a name for myself. This sport is attention seeking so you have to perform."

It all begins for Price, who will drive for BDS Motorsports, this Friday and Saturday at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, during the 45 th annual Spring Nationals. It will mark his debut at the track, where he was able to practice last weekend.

"I'm more of a short track guy so I'm looking forward to getting on bigger tracks," he said. "It's a tricky place, but I felt really comfortable. I have confidence going into this weekend. The goal is to make the show each night and get as many laps as I can."

Price, who is one of several contenders for the Rookie of the Year Award, said his main goal is to make every A Main this season.

"You're only as good as your competition so I'm trying to make myself better by racing against the best 360 drivers," he said.

Price began sprint car racing in 2014 in the sportsman ranks before he advanced to 360ci and 410ci competition the follow year. Price earned five career feature wins at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., where he claimed the 360 track championship last year.

"This is an exciting opportunity to race across the country," he said. "I think we've done well in the Northwest and along the West Coast. Now we'll race on the ASCS National Tour and see how much I can learn and grow. I'm grateful for the opportunity from Bryan Sundby and BDS Motorsports and I can't wait to get started."
