TENNESSEE NATIONAL RACEWAY TO RUN THREE DURRENCE LAYNE RACING DIVISIONS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN will run three Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions in 2019. Drivers in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division, the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division, and the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division will run for both a National and a Track point fund in 2019. For more information, click .

Tennessee National Raceway will run on Friday nights during the 2019 season, and that will give racers an extra opportunity to earn Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series National points in running with Saturday night Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series sanctioned tracks in the area.

Tennessee National Raceway competitors in the three Divisions will compete against drivers at other Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series tracks across the country in their respective Division for National points during a 27-week season that runs from March 25 through September 29. Drivers will use their best 14 weekly point totals as their season total.

“With Tennessee National Raceway being a Friday night track, we’re super excited to be a part of the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series and give our drivers a better opportunity to run both Friday and Saturday to earn National points,” Tennessee National Raceway Promoter Sarah Dubrava said. “The drivers were the ones that really wanted us to do this, and with so many Modified teams changing over to Durrence Layne rules, it just seemed like a good idea, and it will help us with car count on a Friday night.”

A National point fund will be paid out to the Top 10 drivers in each Division. In addition to the National and Track point funds, Tennessee National Raceway also has some higher paying races for the three Divisions on their 2019 Schedule of Events.

The Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division will race for $900-to-win on April 5 and May 3, and the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division will compete for $1,000-to-win on April 26. The Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division races for $900-to-win on May 17.
