Fort Payne, AL (6/12/20) --- Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, TN returned to form Friday night as the 2018 United Championship Racing Alliance - UCRA National Points Champion took the victory in the 1st BAMA RED LINE  OIL DUALS of the weekend. Elliott in his # J39 "Elliott's Used Tires, HRS Mechanical, Mighty Muffler & Brake Center, Stealth Racing Carburetors, Car Smart Auto Sales, Orr Brothers Construction" Longhorn gained the lead from pole sitter / Gresham Racing Parts fast qualifier Ethan Hunter of Harrison, at the start and survived a tough battle with "The Bandit" Jason Welshan of Maryville, for his first UCRA victory of the season. Elliott celebrated in Victory Lane with his Mohawk Junior Warriors and Warriorettes after the 40 lapper. Points leader Kasey Hall of nearby Geraldine, crashed hard on the initial green flag lap and was unable to continue racing, thus knocking him from the points lead unofficially with an 18th place finish. Rookie Jason Cardwell of Knoxville was second just ahead of fellow rookie / last weekends FPMS winner Jeremy Holtzclaw of Sparta. Kevin Hale of Fort Payne and Kenny Kizzar of Soddy Daisy rounded out the Top 5 finishers. Lafayette's Casey Turman defeated Chattanooga's racing icon Ronnie Johnson in the nights Super Late Model feature. Saturday the UCRA debuts at Talladega (AL) Short Track for the second $2,000 to-Win feature of the weekend. Elliott has won back to back ICE BOWL'S at TST in January and is odds on favorite going into Saturday's race. If Elliott sweeps the Alabama weekend duals he'll earn a $500 ,bonus from Red Line Synthetic Oil.
