ULTIMATE South East Super Late Model Series News Release: Contact – ROBY HELM – (865) 207-4157 April 29, 2017 PEARSON TAKES FIRST CAREER ULTIMATE WIN AT DUBLIN MOTOR SPEEDWAY FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DUBLIN, NC – Earl Pearson Jr. of Jacksonville, FL has won races with many different sanctioning bodies over his illustrious 20-year racing career, and after Saturday night, he can add a victory with the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Speedway along with a $10,000 check at Dublin Motor Speedway. Pearson drove the Dunn-Benson Ford Longhorn to the win in the Rattlesnake Rumble over a trio of former ULTIMATE Champions. Three-time ULTIMATE Champion Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA finished second and the defending and two-time ULTIMATE Champion Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, SC took the third spot. The 2011 ULTIMATE Champion Chris Ferguson of Mt. Holly, NC started 19th and blazed his way through the field to finish fourth as the Hard Charger of the Race. Ferguson was also the M&W Transport “Haulin’ It” Fast Qualifier with a lap around Dublin Motor Speedway in 15.137 seconds. Russell Irwin of Beaver Dam, VA was fifth and Tyler Millwood of Cartersville, GA was the Autolite/Fram/DirtOnDirt.com Rookie of the Race with a sixth-place effort. Willie Milliken of Roanoke Rapids, VA finished seventh and eighth went to Jason Welshan of Maryville, TN in the Hidden Hollow Motorsports Longhorn. Austin Hubbard of Seaford, DE took the ninth spot and Justin Williams of Concord, VA rounded out the top ten. In preliminary action on Friday night, the three eight-lap heat races were won by G.R. Smith of Statesville, NC, Zack Mitchell of Enoree, SC and Pearson. Ferguson won the eight-lap B-Main Race on Saturday night. The next two events for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series South East Region will be the Peach State Double-Header next weekend under the promotion of National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame Inductees, the Swims Family. The action begins on Saturday night, May 6 with a 40-lap $4,000-to-win race at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA. Then on Sunday night, May 7, Rome Speedway in Rome, GA will host a 40-lap $4,000-to-win event.
