USCS Winter Heat Rounds #5 and #6 to air on Speed Shift TV from Southern Raceway on Friday and Saturday, February 22nd and 23rd
Atlanta, GA – February 14, 2019 – Speed Shift TV will broadcast the United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters USCS Winter Heat Rounds #5 and #5 presented by FireAde winged sprint car event from Southern Raceway, in Milton, Florida on the weekend of Friday and Saturday, February 22nd and 23rd
The popular pay-per-view platform will telecast both nights of the 2nd annual USCS Battle at the Beach event over the internet for those who are unable to attend the event at the three-eight-mile clay oval for the USCS Winter Heat mini-series. The inaugural event at Southern Raceway in February of 2018 drew 27 entries from 10 states and Canada in one of the series most competitive USCS events of the 2018 season won by 11-time USCS Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee on the first night and Seth Bergman from Washington state on the final night.
Three-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion Tony Stewart from Brownsburg, Indiana raced in the event on both nights. Stewart came back and won the USCS Deep South regional series Championship event on October 20th of 2018. He currently leads the USCS National and Deep South regional series point standings after the first three 2019 events.
Danny Smith from Chillicothe, Ohio won the USCS Winter Heat Round #1 season opener on January 25th at Hendry County Motorsports Park. Round #2 was rained out. Davie Franek from Sussex, New Jersey won the USCS Winter Heat Round #3 at Bubba Raceway Park on February 8th. Mark Smith from Sunbury, Pennsylvania won the Round #4 weekend finale at Bubba Raceway Park on February 9th. All three 2019 winners are expected to be at Southern Raceway for the 2nd Annual “Battle at the Beach”. A strong contingent of USCS winged sprint car drivers from at least eight to ten states are expected again for this season’s contest.
On Friday night’s racing card are the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars plus the USCS 600 Sprint Car Series winged mini sprints and Stock Car and Vintage Car racing in three divisions. Saturday nights card includes both sprint car divisions again, plus Stock and Vintage Car racing in four divisions. Each division will feature a full racing format including main events on both nights.
